There’s nothing like the smell of freshly baked bread to make you feel hungry. And for me, that subtle sweet fragrance also fills me with a sense of comfort. What’s more, even novice bakers can make a perfect loaf, with a little help.
Bread machines take the guesswork out of baking bread and remove the worry of whether the temperature is just right or if you’ve left the dough long enough to prove. And right now, creating your own in-house bakery just got easier, as Cuisinart’s Bread Maker is $119 at Amazon, saving you 29%.
This is a compact bread machine that makes up to a 2lb loaf, which are taller than they are wide. With 12 settings, color crust control, delay start , plus more, it isn't short on features. Plus, it's perfect if space is tight, or you'd prefer to store your bread maker away when it's not in use.
Why I recommend Cuisinart's Bread Machine
I recommend Cuisinart’s Bread Machine as the best compact bread maker in our buying guide. Although it only measures 10.25 x 13.25 x 11.25 inches it can still make up to a 2 lb loaf, or you can choose a 1 lb or 1½ lb loaf if you want a smaller bake.
What’s more, although it’s small in stature, you can still choose from 12 pre-programmed menu options, including three crust options. You can make white, French, whole-wheat, sweet, gluten-free, or artisan bread; opt for a fast bake, use a packaged mix, or make dough. Plus, there are options to make jam, cake, and just bake.
To make everything easy, there’s a clear LED display and push button controls, and the overall design of the bread maker is neat — it won’t look unsightly on your countertop, or take up much cabinet space.
However, because of its compact size, it does make a loaf that is tall rather than wide, so do bear this in mind if you’d prefer a traditional-shaped loaf.
Cuisinart's Bread Machine is an excellent choice is if you are new to baking bread, as you won’t be blowing your budget, especially as you can now save 29%. So, if you’ve been weighing up whether to invest in a bread maker or not, now’s a good time to go for it and enjoy the smell of a fresh loaf in your home.
