'Emily in Paris' season 6: Everything we know so far
Will there be more Parisian adventures for Emily Cooper and Co.? Here's everything we know about a sixth season of 'Emily in Paris'
As quickly as we said "bonjour!" to "Emily in Paris" season 5, we sadly said "adieu," as the Netflix romantic-comedy series wrapped up its latest 10-episode drop on Thursday, December 18.
As usual, the fifth season saw a lot of personal and professional turbulence for the titular Emily Cooper (Lily Collins), including romantic break-ups (ciao, Marcello?), friendship betrayals (Mindy and Alfie?!), job snafus — prompted by the arrival of Minnie Driver's Princess Jane, who becomes an equity partner in Agence Grateau — and still-lingering feelings for the chef who got away, Gabriel (Lucas Bravo).
And given that season 5 ended on a bit of a cliffhanger for Ms. Cooper (will she rush off to Greece to reunite with Gabriel?), it's understandable that "Emily in Paris" fans are wondering whether or not the long-running series will get a sixth season on the streaming service. On that front, there is fresh news, so here's everything we know about "Emily in Paris" season 6 so far.
Will there be an 'Emily in Paris' season 6?
Oui oui! "Emily in Paris" season 6 is officially a go at Netflix, with the streamer announcing the pickup on Monday, January 5.
The recent fifth season amassed 26.8 million views globally in just 11 days, per Netflix, becoming the No. 1 TV series in 24 countries, including Italy, Brazil, Germany and, of course, France.
When will 'Emily in Paris' season 6 be released?
Given that the season 6 renewal was only just announced, there is no release date set yet for the next installment of "Emily in Paris."
However, previous editions of the dramedy series have debuted in Q3 (that is, September to December) of their respective years, so it's likely we'll get new eps by the end of 2026, or early 2027 at the latest.

Who will be in 'Emily in Paris' season 6?
Again, no major announcements have been made just yet, but it's safe to say that the show's core characters will all be making a return for season 6.
That obviously includes Lily Collins as Emily Cooper, as well as her BFF Mindy Chen (played by Ashley Park), her Agence Grateau cohorts Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu), Julien (Samuel Arnold) and Luc (Bruno Gouery), and fellow series regulars like Lucien Laviscount (as Emily's ex and Mindy's situationship Alfie) and William Abadie (as Maison Lavaux owner Antoine).
Though Lucas Bravo's involvement in the show was up in the air going into season five, that finale episode all but ensured that Chef Gabriel will be at the center of the romantic action next season.
We'll also likely see Paul Forman as Nicolas again, but it is unknown whether season 5 cast additions like Minnie Driver (Princess Jane) and Bryan Greenberg (Jake) will also feature.
What will 'Emily in Paris' season 6 be about?
There's no synopsis yet for "Emily in Paris" season 6, but it's likely that the new episodes will see romantic drama ahead for Mindy, as she wrestles with her feelings for Alfie amidst her engagement to on-again, off-again boyfriend Nico.
“Mindy’s never chosen the easier path for herself. In past seasons, too, she’s always picked the harder path for herself when she knows it’s the right path,” Park told Deadline. “I think because maybe this rift with Emily softened her, I don’t want to say weakened her, she kind of just wants to choose the easy path. And we see her make decisions in a spontaneous way that maybe she shouldn’t.”
As for Emily, her break-up with Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini) provided some clarity, Lily Collins told Deadline. “The thing that’s interesting about [season 5] is, instead of it being open-ended for Emily, Emily is cool. She is fine. She is actually more concerned at work with what Princess Jane is bringing to the table,” the actress said. “She’s great with how she handled things with Gabriel and Marcello. It’s Gabriel that’s unsure, and I love that there’s a shift there.”
And though a side-quest to Greece seems certainly on the table for season 6, the next installment will see Emily happily entrenched in the Parisian life. “She really chooses her own life in Paris and her work, and what she’s worked so hard to achieve,” series creator Darren Star told The Hollywood Reporter. “I think ultimately that’s where her heart was and it clarified for her the fact that she wants to be in Paris and she wants to live there, and it’s not a temporary thing.”
As for a potential reunion between Emily and Gabriel, Star added: "I don’t think it’ll be an instant relationship, though I do believe that people can find their way back to each other."
