The last week of August is serving up plenty of fresh distractions, with new shows premiering on Netflix, Prime Video and other streaming services. Summer might be winding down, but the TV calendar is heating up.

The high-octane prequel series "The Terminal List: Dark Wolf" is ready to lock and load. Fans can look forward to two returning favorites: the second season of teen drama "My Life With the Walter Boys" season 2 and the final outing for sci-fi comedy "Upload" returns for its final round of digital afterlife chaos. Here are our top picks for new TV shows to watch this week.

Amazon’s sci-fi comedy is logging out for good. The fourth and final season of "Upload" finds Nathan (Robbie Amell) once again caught between life, afterlife and an increasingly unhinged tech company.

Lakeview faces its biggest glitch yet as sentient AI turns murderous, greedy execs tighten their grip and heartbreak hits in both VR and IRL. Add a life-coach chinchilla (yes, really), and you’ve got Greg Daniels’ signature mix of satire and absurdity, now heading for its wildest, last upgrade.

Taylor Kitsch steps back into the boots of Ben Edwards in this prequel series to "The Terminal List" that digs into the Navy SEAL’s transformation into a CIA operative. Co-created by Jack Carr and David DiGilio, the espionage thriller explores the gray zone of covert warfare, where one choice can cost more than just a mission.

Chris Pratt returns as James Reece, which ties the new show to its predecessor while Tom Hopper ("The Umbrella Academy") joins the action.

Episodes 1-3 premiere Wednesday, Aug. 27 at 3 a.m. ET on Prime Video

The Walter boys are back for a second season, but Jackie’s return to Silver Falls is anything but simple. After a summer in New York — and that surprising smooch with Cole (Noah LaLonde) — she’s ready to patch things up with Alex (Ashby Gentry) and find her footing again in the Walter household.

Easier said than done. Alex is busy chasing rodeo glory, while Cole struggles to replace football with something less destructive. Add in family farm drama and Jackie’s tug-of-war between her past and present, and season 2 promises bigger stakes, bigger emotions and plenty of sparks.

All 10 episodes premiere Thursday, Aug. 28 at 3 a.m. ET on Netflix
