Prime Video’s top 10 has been refreshed with plenty of new picks, from the latest streaming originals to some slightly older movies getting a second chance to enjoy the spotlight. However, just because a movie manages to score a top 10 ranking doesn’t make it worthy of your weekend watchlist.
Case in point, unless you’re a superfan of the previous two “Culpables” movies, I would advise swerving trilogy-capper “Our Fault,” despite it currently holding the No. 1 spot. It's for dedicated viewers only. I track the Prime Video top 10 every day, and I’ve combed through today's ranking to pick out the options most deserving of your precious movie-watching time.

‘John Candy: I Like Me’ (2025)
This Prime Video original documentary celebrates the life and work of comedic actor John Candy, directed by filmmaker Colin Hanks, son of Hollywood icon Tom Hanks (that’s one talented family!). This feature-length doc doesn’t break from the biopic formula, exploring Candy’s life both on and off camera, but it’s a wonderful tribute to a very funny man who practically defined the comedy scene for an entire generation.
You may know John Candy from such flicks as “Planes, Trains and Automobiles,” “Space Balls,” “Uncle Buck,” “Cool Runnings,” and one of my personal favorites, “Brewster’s Millions.” The doc mixed archive footage, home videos and interviews with Candy’s family, alongside A-list collaborators including Bill Murray, Tom Hanks, Steve Martin, Dan Aykroyd, Mel Brooks, Martin Short, Conan O'Brien and more. “John Candy: I Like Me” may be a standard biographical feature, but it’s funny and extremely warm-hearted.

‘Knight and Day’ (2010)
“Knight and Day” was raked over the coals by critics and film fans alike, but I have surprisingly fond memories of this 2010 action-comedy adventure. Though maybe there’s a degree of Stockholm syndrome at play. It came bundled with my first Blu-ray player, so I watched it several times while saving up my paper route money to buy (better) options. Still, it stars Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz, so at least there’s plenty of charisma on display.
Directed by James Mangold, who would go on to make “Logan” and the Oscar-nominated “A Complete Unknown,” “Knight and Day” is a breezy blockbuster that sees June Havens (Diaz) caught up in a spy conspiracy when she gets chatting to the charming Roy Miller (Cruise) on a flight to Boston. It turns out Miller is a superspy being framed as a traitor. With the CIA in pursuit and June mistaken for an accomplice, the duo team up as they travel the globe, evade capture, and attempt to root out the real turncoat.

‘Skyfall’ (2012)
Prime Video just added every single (Eon-produced) James Bond movie this month, from 1962’s “Dr. No” through to 2021’s “No Time to Die,” but it’s “Skyfall” that is sticking around in the Prime Video top 10, and I totally get why. The epic Adele theme tune is reason enough to select this Bond flick, and it helps that the two-hour movie that follows the opening song is equally excellent. It’s among Craig’s best efforts as the spy, and it combines spectacular set-pieces with a more personal story and a memorable villain.
After a former MI6 agent steals a hard drive containing the aliases of every undercover NATO agent, Bond is on the hunt for the culprit. As the superspy investigates, he learns the shadowy villain responsible for the theft has a personal vendetta against Bond’s handler, M (Judi Dench). Javier Bardem plays the antagonist, and he’s disturbingly sinister in all the right ways. “Skyfall” all builds to one of the best (and most emotional) Bond finales ever.
