Looking for a new show to binge-watch on Prime Video this weekend? Amazon's streaming service is constantly adding new shows, including original series that you might not be familiar with, so sometimes it's tough to decide what to watch. Don't worry, though: I've scoured everything new to Prime Video this month, taken a look at what's trending, and landed on three binge-worthy series to watch this weekend.

Top of the list is "The Mighty Nein," a brand new animated series from the creators of "The Legend of Vox Machina. It just had its three-episode premiere this past week, and trust me when I tell you it's not a show you want to miss.

If you're a fan of "The Legend of Vox Machina, then "The Mighty Nein" is for you. But be warned, this new show from Critical Role is darker, more mature and slower paced than its predecessor. The result, though, is an addictive series I can't get enough of.

Like "Vox Machina," this series is adapted from a Critical Role web series Dungeons and Dragons campaign of the same name. It's also set in the fictional world of Exandria, but this series takes place in Wildemount, a different continent that feels like a different world. It also has a totally new cast of characters. The show is noticeably different and familiar all at once.

The series kicks off with a band of mysterious assassins, known as the Volstrucker, stealing a legendary relic from the Kryn Dynasty. This relic is the Luxon Beacon, and it is as important an object as exists in the Dynasty. Its theft prompts the Bright Queen of the Kryn (Lucy Liu) to threaten war against the Dwendalian Empire, which is eager to fight back.

Ironically, though, the empire's leader, King Dwendal, doesn't have the first clue where Beacon is. That's because a shadowy group is pulling the strings from behind the scenes. The Mighty Nein, an unexpected cohort of warriors, wizards and magic wielders, thrust together by fate, are the only ones who can stop this sinister conspiracy, but there's just one problem: most of them don't know each other exists — yet.

'Hazbin Hotel' season 2

Watch On

It may be an animated-heavy list this week, but when shows as good as "Hazbin Hotel" have a season finale, they merit inclusion on this list. The adult animated musical series stars Erika Henningsen as the voice of Charlie Morningstar, the princess of Hell.

Yes, I said musical. Each episode features around two to three musical numbers, and if you're a fan of musicals, you're in for a treat. If you're not a huge fan of musicals, though, don't worry. "Hazbin Hotel" still has an intriguing premise that will draw you in.

See, Charlie may be the heir to Hell's fiery throne, but she's running a hotel to rehabilitate souls and send them to heaven. In this world, Hell has an overpopulation problem and the current solution is for Adam (Alex Brightman) and a bunch of angels to come down and reenact "The Purge." Charlie and her girlfriend, Vaggie (Stephanie Beatriz), think that they can do better.

At the start of season 2, business is booming, but Hell and Heaven are on the brink of outright war and Sir Pentious (Brightman) is still MIA after the season 1 finale. Does he return? Can war be avoided? You'll have to watch all eight episodes of season 2 to find out.

'Malice'

If you like a thriller, then "Malice" is worth checking out this weekend on Prime Video. This new series stars Jack Whitehall as Adam, the new nanny for the wealthy Tanner family. He joins the Tanners on their family vacation, but by the end, family patriarch Jamie Tanner (David Duchovny) wants Adam to stay on permanently. That seems to be a big mistake on Jamie's part, because once Adam is embedded in the Tanner family, he starts to tear it apart from the inside.

Full disclosure, reviews on this one appear to be pretty mixed, both among critics and audiences. But there are more than a few people who seem to think it's worth the watch, and just about everyone seems to enjoy the performances of Whitehall and Duchovny. The show is currently in the top 10 on Prime Video for a reason.
