Netflix is always adding new TV shows and movies every single week. While that means there's always something fresh to add to your watchlist, it also means it's nigh-on impossible to stay on top of all the latest and greatest movies on one of the best streaming services in the business.

Now, if you don't want to waste your spare time scrolling endlessly through the Netflix catalog and would rather spend that time streaming something, I've done the work for you. Here at Tom's Guide, we regularly highlight new Netflix arrivals worth watching, so you've always got new recommendations ready to go the next time you're between Netflix movies.

'Better Watch Out'

I'm no real horror expert, but Tom's Guide's resident horror fan, Alix Blackburn, shouted out "Better Watch Out" after it came to Netflix not long ago, and if you'd like to put a darker spin on the holiday season, this could be the watch for you.

"Better Watch Out" is one of many festive features that ramp up the tension at what should be the jolliest time of the year. Set in a seemingly perfect suburban neighborhood, the movie follows Ashley, a teenage babysitter (Olivia DeJonge) who is looking after 12-year-old Luke (Levi Miller) while her parents are away on Christmas Eve.

Their Christmas Eve takes a sinister turn when they suspect that intruders are trying to break in, leaving Ashley fighting to protect herself during their holiday home invasion.

Watch On

Netflix just added David Mackenzie's "Relay," which TG's Senior Entertainment Editor (U.K.) Rory Mellon called both one of the most overlooked thrillers of 2025 and a "must-watch."

The movie takes place in New York City and revolves around a fixer (Riz Ahmed) who specializes in brokering lucrative payoffs between corrupt corporations and whistleblowers who are looking to exchange their insider info for a big payout.

He's contacted by Sarah Grant (Lily James), a woman who holds evidence that a powerful biotech company covered up the results of a study proving its new product comes with serious side effects. Our fixer soon becomes very invested in ensuring her safety, and while he normally follows a strict set of rules to keep himself safe, he starts to break that code as personal feelings mount...

'Wake Up Dead Man'

Watch On

Of all the recent Netflix picks, this is definitely the one I'd recommend the most, and for good reason: "Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery" is a riot, and I'm confident it's my favorite "Knives Out" movie yet. It arrived last Friday, but if you're yet to stream it, I can't recommend Rian Johnson's new mystery enough.

This threequel follows Daniel Craig's brilliant detective to the small town of Chimney Rock, New York, where he's investigating his darkest, most mystifying case yet: Monsignor Wicks (Josh Brolin) has been murdered in a small side room during a church service in an impossible "locked room" mystery.

Benoit Blanc learns of the case and heads up to Chimney Rock, where he teams with Wicks' new assistant, Jud Duplenticy (Josh O'Connor), and the local police chief, Geraldine Scott (Mila Kunis) to try and root out the killer from among Wicks' flock.

Staff Writer, Streaming

Martin is a Streaming Writer at Tom’s Guide, covering all things movies and TV. If it’s in the theaters or available to stream somewhere, he’s probably watched it… especially if it has a dragon in it. Before joining the team, he was a Staff Writer at What To Watch where he wrote about a broad range of shows that stretched from "Doctor Who" and "The Witcher" to "Bridgerton" and "Love Island". When he’s not watching the next must-see movie or show, he’s probably still in front of a screen playing massive RPGs, reading, spending a fortune on TCGs, or watching the NFL.
