If you’ve hit that point where all you want is a blanket, a hot drink and something festive to watch one evening, Netflix has you covered.

The biggest streaming service is naturally stacked with Christmas movies right now, from cozy classics you’ve (probably) rewatched a hundred times to newer flicks that deserve a spot on your watchlist.

But choosing what to put on can feel like its own holiday chore since there’s just so much, and no way of knowing if they're actually good. So to save you the endless scrolling, we’ve rounded up the five best Christmas movies you can stream on Netflix now.

‘Let It Snow’

The movie I watch every year around Christmas time without fail is “Let It Snow,” so it only feels right to include it on this list first. If you’re looking for a heartwarming holiday flick that doesn’t require much brain power and features some memorable stars, you’ll want to stream this one to get into the festive spirit.

On a snowy Christmas Eve, a sudden blizzard traps several high-school seniors in their tiny Midwestern town. Julie Reyes (Isabela Merced) meets an unexpected visitor, pop star Stuart Bale (Shameik Moore), when their train gets stuck. Meanwhile, waitress Dorrie (Liv Hewson) wrestles with her feelings for shy cheerleader Kerry (Anna Akana), while her friend Addie (Odeya Rush) deals with heartbreak. At the same time, teenager Tobin (Mitchell Hope) struggles to confess his feelings to longtime friend Angie (Kiernan Shipka).

‘Last Christmas’

A movie where the title plays a huge role in the narrative is definitely true for this one, and I should warn you now, you may need tissues. “Last Christmas” is a charming holiday flick with plenty to love, from its festive cheer to its wonderful soundtrack, but it also has a very touching story at its core. I’m pretty sure it’ll get to anyone who claims Christmas movies don’t make them emotional.

“Last Christmas” follows Kate, a young woman stuck in a rut as she drifts through life in London after a long recovery from a serious illness. She works reluctantly as an elf in a year-round Christmas shop, showing up late, dodging responsibility and clashing with her boss. Everything shifts when she meets Tom, an upbeat, mysterious man who seems to appear out of nowhere and has an uncanny ability to draw her out of her own chaos. As they grow closer, Kate begins piecing together what she wants her life to look like and what role Tom truly plays in it.

‘Carry-On’

Watch On

Netflix’s holiday lineup last year included “Carry-On,” a festive movie that’s closer in spirit to “Die Hard” than “Love Actually.” With a festive backdrop and plenty of action-packed thrills, it’s perfect for anyone looking for a Christmas movie that does not revolve around falling in love under the mistletoe.

Ethan Kopek (Taron Egerton) has been coasting through life without much drive or direction. His partner, Nora (Sofia Carson), keeps nudging him to figure out what he really wants, and when the two learn they’re expecting a baby, Ethan promises to step up. During his Christmas Eve shift, he begs his supervisor (Dean Norris) for a real shot at advancement, but the night quickly turns into hell. While stationed at the baggage scanners, Ethan is approached by a stranger (Jason Bateman) who corners him into letting a suspicious bag move through security unchecked. Once the man’s true intentions become clear, Ethan realizes the stakes are far higher than he imagined.

‘Jingle Bell Heist’

Watch On

Even though I love the holiday season, I have certain standards when it comes to new Christmas movies, and lately I’ve been craving something a little different. Fortunately, Netflix delivered with its new original, “Jingle Bell Heist.” Featuring Olivia Holt from 2025’s “Heart Eyes” and Connor Swindells from the hit series “Sex Education,” this romantic comedy makes a real effort to stand out. Because of that, it might just be the best new Christmas movie currently streaming this year.

“Jingle Bell Heist” follows Sophia (Holt), a retail worker who’s struggling to support her sick mother, and Nick (Swindells), a down‑on‑his‑luck repairman. On a desperate Christmas Eve, they unexpectedly end up planning a heist, targeting a high‑end London department store in hopes of hitting it big. As they scheme and prepare for the robbery, things get complicated: Sparks fly between them.

‘The Christmas Chronicles’

Watch On

Sometimes, all you need is a classic-feeling Christmas movie that feels like a sweet cup of hot cocoa. That’s exactly what “The Christmas Chronicles" is all about. This cheerful family adventure on Netflix leaves you with a sugar‑rush kind of joy, largely thanks to Kurt Russell, who delivers one of the most charming portrayals of Santa Claus in recent memory.

The movie follows siblings Kate (Darby Camp) and Teddy Pierce (Judah Lewis), who are struggling with the recent loss of their father and the challenges of the holiday season. On Christmas Eve, they accidentally crash Santa Claus’s sleigh while trying to catch him on camera. With Santa (Russell) stranded and his magical sleigh in danger, the kids must team up with him to save Christmas. Along the way, they face a series of adventurous obstacles, from high-speed sleigh chases to encounters with mischievous elves, all while learning to work together and embrace the holiday spirit.
