We gave this RTX 5070 gaming laptop 4.5 out of 5 stars in our review — and it's $500 off right now with a 15-inch OLED display, 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage
Save big on this mid-range gaming laptop
Thanks to the ongoing RAM crisis, finding a solid gaming laptop for a good price is becoming harder each day. However, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t fantastic deals out there. To that end, I’ve found an excellent mid-range laptop for a drastically reduced price.
Right now, the Lenovo Legion 5i Gen 10 with RTX 5070 is on sale at B&H Photo for $1,499. That’s $500 in savings on a gaming laptop that earned our editor’s choice badge. If you’re looking for a dependable mid-range laptop for gaming and work, this is one to check out. Here’s why.
The Lenovo Legion 5i Gen 10 impresses with its sleek styling, gorgeous OLED panel, and solid mid-range performance! Sure, the battery life is underwhelming, but that’s par for the course of gaming systems, and given the price you pay for OLED gaming, it’s a problem that is quickly paved over.
As we said in our Lenovo Legion 5i Gen 10 review, this machine leads a double life as a gaming laptop and productivity powerhouse. The unit I’m spotlighting today actually has better specs than the unit we tested, as it features an RTX 5070 GPU over an RTX 5060 and 32GB of RAM instead of 16GB. Thanks to those specs, you get all-around great performance and zippy frame rates.
Besides the impressive specs, you also get a mesmerizing 15.1-inch OLED display that makes games and videos look their absolute best. The screen also gets bright, up to 500 nits, and the sharp 2560 x 1600 resolution and fast 165Hz refresh rate ensure everything is crystal clear and smooth.
You’re not sacrificing build quality, as this is a sleek system from every angle. Yes, it’s not exactly thin and light, but with an aluminum lid and a durable plastic chassis, it’s a refined, utilitarian design that doesn’t immediately scream “gaming laptop.” That last point matters if you want to use this laptop in public without drawing too many stares.
Of course, if you do use this notebook on the go, keep in mind that it is a gaming laptop and doesn’t have the best battery life. For gaming, you’ll be lucky if the Legion 5i lasts an hour. Thankfully, it does last a bit longer for general productivity. Still, make sure you don’t forget to bring its charger with you when you’re out and about.
This Lenovo Legion 5i deal is so good that I don’t expect it to last much longer. If you’re looking for your next gaming laptop, don’t hesitate to snatch up this beauty while you can.
