I love my Oura ring — but I'd choose from these 3 alternative cheaper sleep trackers if I was shopping today
These affordable sleep tracking rings give Oura a run for its money, and they're subscription free

One thing about me: I won't shut up about my Oura Ring and how it helps me keep tabs on my sleep health and habits. Honestly, I've recommended it to three friends just this week.
An accessory now worn by all the wellness girlies on Instagram, these sleek, silver rings do more than just look good — they track everything from your sleep stages to your menstrual cycle, giving you a deeper understanding of your day-to-day health and recovery.
But while the Oura Ring Gen 3 starts at $199 in what I suspect is a closeout sale at Oura (yes I track the website closely) and, our best smart ring of the year, the newer Gen 4 goes for $349 at Oura, those price tags — plus the ongoing subscription fee — can be tough on the wallet.
If you love the idea of advanced sleep tracking without the premium price, you’re in luck. The past week, I’ve been digging through the Labor Day sleep deals that are still live today to find high-quality Oura Ring alternatives with more affordable price tags.
Here are my top three picks still discounted today — but you'll need to act fast. Labor Day is over, after all, and I don't expect these deals to hang around much longer.
3 sleep tracking ring deals still live
1. RENPHO Lynx smart ring: was $229 now $179 at Amazon
More affordable than smart rings from big brands like Oura and Samsung, but more expensive than the usual budget trackers at Amazon, the RENPHO Lynx smart ring promises to be a reliable sleep analyser at great value. With 22% off in Amazon's limited time deal, you can get a titanium silver or carbon black ring in the right size for you (sizes go from six to 13 and you can order a sizing kit beforehand) for $179 down from $229. Now, you may be thinking why not just buy the actual Oura Ring for $20 more? Well, that would also tie you into a subscription fee at $5.99 per month, so by the end of the year you will have in fact paid $270 for your Oura Ring 3.

2. Amazfit Heilo smart ring: was $199 now $149.99 at Amazon
Our Tom's Guide Amazfit Heilo Ring reviewer says the ring offers "solid sleep and recovery insights" that matched up against data produced by other popular wearables. And you're getting great value with this smart ring. In addition to the (free) companion Zepp app, Helio Ring users get free unlimited access to the premium Zepp Aura app, which offers audio playlists to help you fall asleep along with sleep and relaxation exercises. A unique feature of the Heilo Ring is the fact you can see how your sleep quality compares to other users to assess how optimal your metrics really are. Today, you can save $50 on the Amazfit Heilo ring before they go, knocking the price to $149.99. Reliable, comprehensive sleep tracking, a choice of sleep sounds and a comfortable sleek-looking ring for under $150 now? Take my money.

3. RingConn Gen 2 Air smart ring: was $199 now $183 at RingConn
The RingConn Gen 2 Air is the entry-level alternative to the $299 RingConn Gen 2. Our reviewer reckons the RingConn Gen 2 Air stands out for its sleep tracking (music to my ears), though it falls short in fitness tracking (take note, athletes). Right now, you can save $16 on the Gen 2 Air smart ring when you enter the code DVRC at RingConn's checkout. Yes it's a marginal saving, but we think it's great value on a subscription-free ring with in-depth sleep insights rivalling the likes of Oura. With RingConn you get a daily sleep score, 24/7 wellness monitoring for heart rate and blood oxygen saturation, and a near unbeatable 10-day battery life.
