Ever since it started selling apps back in 2008, the iTunes Store has proved very profitable for Apple. While other manufacturers like Nokia still sell a lot more phones, no one can claim the same dominance Apple enjoys on the mobile software front.
Now that the iTunes Store has processed over 10 billion downloads, it’s worth looking at which iPad apps have proven most popular over the past two years. Following Apple’s categorization, the first ten apps are free, while the last ten are paid. You’ll notice that games dominate the paid downloads.
