It’s that time of year again: TV brands are rolling out their newest models, many of which will turn out to be among the best TVs of the year.

The LG C6 and LG G6 are two such models. These dazzling OLED TVs are the successors to the LG C5 and LG G5, two of the best TVs of 2025. We’ve already spent a ton of hands-on time with both, and from the looks of it, there are some pretty substantial upgrades in tow. The newest versions of LG’s mid-range C Series and flagship-level G Series won’t come cheap, but they’re shaping up to be excellent, high-performing TVs that are jam-packed with features.

Today, LG announced the pricing and availability for every C6 and G6 screen size. Here’s what you need to know.

2026 LG C6 and G6 OLED TV prices

On the pricing front, there's bad news and good news. The bad news is that neither of these TVs will come cheap. Although it's the more affordable of the two, the C6 starts at $1,399 at launch. The smallest-sized G6 is even steeper, starting at $2,499 for a 55-inch screen.

Many experts and analysts predicted higher prices for new TVs in 2026 ... This isn't the case with the C6 and G6.

The good news is twofold. First, many experts and analysts (myself included) predicted higher prices for new TVs in 2026, thanks in large part to the ongoing RAM shortage. This isn't the case with the C6 and G6, as the launch prices for all but one of these TVs mirrors the launch price of their 2025 predecessor.

The only model whose price has changed year over year is the 83-inch C6. As it happens, this year's 83-inch C6 is $100 cheaper than the 83-inch C5 was when it first hit shelves.

This is a pleasant surprise, especially since the 83-inch C6 taps an altogether different type of OLED display — as noted above the 77- and 83-inch LG C6 OLEDs have received the designation C6H, and both sets leverage LG's Primary RGB Tandem 2.0 OLED panel, complete with Hyper Radiant Color technology. This tech is otherwise reserved for LG's G Series OLED, so folks who opt for a 77- or 83-inch C6 will get more bang for their buck this year.

The other bit of good news is that these prices aren't set in stone. As we make our way through the year, I expect these prices to steadily fall, with discounts peaking during Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

When can I buy the LG C6 and G6?

LG has confirmed that the LG C6 and LG G6 will be available for retail sale sometime later this month.

The OLED-maker didn't provide a specific date, but my best guess is that they'll start to hit digital and physical storefronts sometime towards the end of March.

Is it worth upgrading to the LG C6 and G6?

Ah, the perennial question: Should I buy the latest, shiniest version, or save a bunch of money on last-year's model?

I typically recommend that shoppers save money on TVs from the previous year. The rationale for this is simple: Last-year's TVs are almost always at (or around) their lowest price right before the newest models launch.

This year, however, LG's C Series will likely see significant performance gains on the 77- and 83-inch versions of the C6, thanks to its swankier panel and incorporation of LG's Hyper Radiant Color technology. For those in the market for a 77- or 83-inch OLED, it might be worth the extra cost to go with the LG C6H over last-year's C5.

If you're not shopping in this size range, I recommend springing for the heavily discounted LG C5 or G5 OLEDs, as both are now (and will continue to be) much more affordable than LG's newest sets.

It may be a year old, but the LG C5 OLED still delivers one of the best all-around TV experiences you can get in 2026. It offers all of the benefits we've come to expect from OLED displays, but its design, software and overall experience is the result of LG's excellent engineering. Right now, the 65-inch C5 is almost 50% off its original price.

For lots of people, buying an older model of anything isn't quite as exciting as buying the latest (and possibly greatest) thing. Nevertheless, you can take solace in the fact that the LG C5 and G5 are two of the best OLED TVs you can buy — and that's still the case a year after they first hit shelves.

From what I've gathered from seeing the C6 and G6 in person, I can confirm that there are sizable performance improvements at play with the 77- and 83-inch C6H OLEDs. They deliver better brightness than any of the sizes in last-year's C5 lineup, and their colors seem to be punchier, too.

We'll have to test the rest of the sizes in the C6 lineup to see how they compare to the C5; the same goes for the G6 and its potential improvements over the G5.
