From OLED TVs to running shoes: here's the most popular Amazon buys snatched up by Tom's Guide readers
The discounts have already started
As deals editor at Tom's Guide, I'm always on the lookout for the best deals on devices the Tom's Guide experts have tried, tested, and recommend. However, I occasionally like to step back and look at what Amazon products Tom's Guide readers are buying the most.
For example, in addition to running shoes and the M5 MacBook Air, I was surprised to see readers buying the Felco F6 Pruning Shears ($74) last month. We named them the best pruning shears, but they're not currently on sale. Likewise, I was pleasantly surprised to see readers snatching up the Viture Beast XR/AR Glasses ($549), which my colleague Jason England named one of the best smart glasses of 2026.
Below I've rounded up the top 11 products Tom's Guide readers are buying up at Amazon. Some of these are popular summer buys, whereas others are just top-rated products with generous discounts. (For more deals and finds, check out the Tom's Guide Savings Squad).

Ironically, they're also quite in vogue with the stylish streetwear kids. Beyond being outrageously comfortable, these bad boys look their best with a few grass stains on the toe.

The MacBook Air has been upgraded with Apple's newest M5 chipset. The new laptop features a 13.6-inch (2560 x 1664) display, Apple M5 chipset, 16GB of RAM, 512GB SSD, and support for WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 6. Although it sports a $100 price increase, the base model now comes with a 512GB SSD instead of 256GB. In our MacBook Air M5 review we said it's the laptop to get for most people and users with an M3 or older chipset will notice a major performance boost. Just note that I expect this to drop to $899 or less during Prime Day. So if you can wait, I wouldn't buy it just yet.
