The best Prime Day hidden cell phone plans
Boost Mobile breaks the mold with an incredibly aggressive $10 per month unlimited plan. However, it only applies to the first three months — with the service increasing to $25/month afterwards. You still can't beat this hidden cell phone plan because you pay that $25 rate forever. With this ultra-affordable plan, you get unlimited talk, text, and data. Just know that it includes just 30 GB of high speed, premium data each month, so exceeding that will slow down your speeds.
Mint Mobile relies on T-Mobile's vast 5G network to deliver high-speed performance at a fraction of the cost. By prepaying for service, you can grab an introductory three-month plan with a 6GB data allotment for a total of $30 upfront — which effectively breaks down to just $10 a month. It's the perfect trial to test local network performance in your area, while offering you perks like unlimited talk, text, data, mobile hotspot, and more. Once you reach your 6GB cap, you might be deprioritized. Meaning, speeds could slow down.
For those who want native AT&T coverage without signing a long-term postpaid contract, this $25 monthly prepaid option is a hidden gem. This plan doesn't require a traditional credit check, while granting full access to AT&T's massive nationwide LTE and 5G networks. It provides consistent data delivery and reliable call quality without any unexpected hidden line fees. Just know that it comes with 30GB of premium data each month, with speeds slowed down to max 1.5Mbps after that.
As much as I love Visible, I was impressed with what Total Wireless offered when I tested it. For $25 per month on its MAX 5G BYO plan, Total Wireless delivers strong signal coverage and excellent call reliability using Verizon's vast network. On top of the usual all-you-can-eat services, you also get mobile hotspot, spam protection, some international services, and 100GB of cloud storage.
Verizon's own Simplicity plan offers a streamlined alternative to its premium postpaid options. That's because it's a prepaid plan and for $30 a month, you gain access to the core Verizon network footprint with all the usual trimming of a postpaid plan with straightforward voice, text, and data coverage. At the same time, I love that supports 5G Ultra Wideband for even faster speeds where it's available, along with satellite texting.
I'm also throwing in this hidden cell phone plan I found for families who don't want to spend upwards of $200 a month to stay connected. T-Mobile's multi-line prepaid package consolidates four distinct lines into a flat $100 per month bundle. Spreading out to an effective cost of just $25 per line, this family plan leverages T-Mobile’s industry-leading mid-band 5G network speeds for a highly competitive price. You still get access to one of the best rewards plans out there with T-Mobile Tuesdays, but you only get 10GB of premium data per month.
