I've been waiting for a Labor Day discount on luxury hotel beds and despite the official sales being over, there's now 20% off all mattresses at Shop Marriott, I've not been disappointed. If you enjoyed the best sleep of your life vacationing this summer, now's the time to invest in hotel comfort.

What mattresses do hotels use? For the most part, hotels use innerspring mattresses with pillow tops. In other words, a sturdy and supportive base followed by a plush cushioned finish — you'll find some similar designs in our guide to the best mattresses for all sleep styles in 2025.

Of course, hotel beds also have that little something extra, a touch of luxury that elevates the guest experience. Right now you can enjoy that je ne sais quoi for less in the extended Labor Day mattress sales but act fast, as this deal won't linger as long as your vacation memories. To find more sleep deals that are still active, head to our live Labor Day sleep sales page where we're tracking the best deals.

1. Westin Heavenly Bed Mattress:was $1,645now $1,316 at Shop Marriott

1. Westin Heavenly Bed Mattress: twin was $1,645 now $1,316 at Shop Marriott
Over a year in the making, Westin's Heavenly Bed was the first hotel mattress to emphasize luxury, crowd-pleasing sleep (ushering in a hotel bed revolution along the way.) When we went hands-on with the Westin Heavenly Bed we found the plush support ideal for back sleeping and agreed that most Westin guests would be delighted to spend a night on this mattress. In the 20% off sale a queen is only $1,996 (was $2,495) or for the full Heavenly experience, you can add a box spring for an extra $400 (box springs help absorb shock and improve breathability.) I have seen a slightly higher discount this year but since then, the Westin store has undergone a redesign and sales are harder to predict — shop now to secure your saving.

2. The Ritz-Carlton Mattress: was $2,399now $1,912 at Shop Marriott

2. The Ritz-Carlton Mattress: twin was $2,399 now $1,912 at Shop Marriott
Ritz-Carlton hotels and resorts are almost synonymous with luxury, so it's no surprise the Ritz-Carlton Mattress is a tall and indulgent innerspring hybrid mattress that commands a high price tag. In the 20% off sale a queen is $2,752 (reduced from $3,440) although if you want to treat yourself in true Ritz-Carlton fashion, I recommend the extra space of the king size, now $3,088 (was $3,860.) It's a premium design but Ritz-Carlton does promise 'unrivaled comfort' and with 900+ individually wrapped coils, I predict this mattress delivers impressive support. Ritz-Carlton also notes enhanced breathability so if you're a hot sleepers, this might be the hotel mattress for you.

3. Marriott Foam Mattress:was $1,395now $1,116 at Shop Marriott

3. Marriott Foam Mattress: twin was $1,395 now $1,116 at Shop Marriott
This model from Marriott is unusual for a hotel mattress in that it's an all-foam build: the majority of hotel mattresses are hybrid innersprings with pillow tops. It's also among the most affordable luxury hotel beds, with a queen reduced from $1,995 to $1,595 in the sale (and there's no need for a box spring at all, so no extra purchases.) The Marriott Foam bed is for sleepers seeking plush body-contouring, which can help relieve aches and pains. I also expect the all-foam build to lack the bounce of hybrid alternatives meaning, like the best memory foam mattresses, this is likely a good choice for couples. But if you have your eye on a more traditional design, the Marriott Innerspring Mattress is also on sale this Labor Day.
