I slept on the Helix Midnight Luxe for a week and can see what the fuss is about — get 20% off before Black Friday

Black Friday may be just around the corner, but that doesn't mean you need to wait to save on the best mattresses we've tested this year. You can save 20% on the Helix Midnight Luxe mattress at Helix now, cutting the price of a queen to $1,919.

I recently took a trip to the US to visit the headquarters of 3Z Brands, home to Helix Sleep. While there, I slept on the best selling Helix Midnight Luxe and saw exactly how it's made in the factory. And from production to the bedroom, it's safe to say this is a top quality mattress.

Helix Midnight Luxe: was $1,436.25 now $1,149 at Helix Sleep

Helix Midnight Luxe: twin was $1,436.25 now $1,149 at Helix Sleep
Monthly Helix mattress sales usually fluctuate between 20% and 25%. Right now, it's the former, bringing a queen size Helix Midnight Luxe mattress to $1,919 (was $2,398.75). Admittedly, this isn't the best price. Last Black Friday we saw a queen drop to $1,732 with our exclusive discount code, so it may be worth waiting for official Black Friday sales to bag an extra couple of hundred dollars off. Still, we think the current price offers great value on the bed that tops our best mattress for side sleepers guide thanks to its blissful balance of cushioning foams and responsive, supportive coils. Our lead reviewer, Sleep Editor Nicola Appleton says it holds "an air of 5-star hotel luxury". And it ships for free with a 100-night sleep trial and lifetime warranty.

Saatva Classic mattress: twin was $1,399 now $1,174 at Saatva
There's up to $375 the best mattress we've ever tested right now. Scoring five stars in our thorough mattress tests, the Saatva Classic mattress is a dream for all sleepers. Our Senior Sleep Editor and Certified Sleep Coach, Claire Davies, even credits it for salvaging her sleep after pregnancy-induced hip and lower back pain and years of insomnia. Current Saatva mattress sales mean a queen size is marginally cheaper than the Helix Midnight Luxe at $1,814 (was $2,139). But we expect there to be at least another $75 off around Black Friday. As always, benefits are generous and include free white glove delivery (you won't have to lift a finger installing your new bed), a 365-night sleep trial, and a lifetime warranty.

Zinus Memory Foam Mattress: was $399now $249 at Zinusqueen 10”Zinus Memory Foam Mattress for $266.22 at Amazon

Zinus Memory Foam Mattress: twin was $399 now $249 at Zinus
The 10" Zinus Green Tea Memory Foam mattress is an plush, affordable bed offering the soft ‘hug’ feeling side sleepers tend to enjoy. The top foam layers cradle the hips and shoulders while denser foam beneath keeps your bod aligned. For such an affordable bed, it certainly doesn't skimp on quality. Right now, Zinus mattress sales are cutting a queen size to $499 (was $599). Though it can't compare with the Helix, it gives a taste of pressure-relieving comfort at a much kinder price (a quarter of the price, to be exact). For added peace of mind, you’ll also get a 10-year warranty and a 100-night trial. But for the cheapest price, you need to shop third-party. Right now you can get a queen 10” Zinus Memory Foam Mattress for $266.22 at Amazon, and often it's even cheaper than that. While you still get the warranty, you do miss out on a mattress trial.
