Just because you're on a budget, doesn't mean you can't get one of the best mattresses of the year. I've rounded up the three best queen memory foam mattresses under $500 available this weekend, and we've slept on and reviewed them all.

We tested this mattress and found that it was better suited to side sleepers. This is because the softer foam cushions the shoulders and hips to relieve pressure buildup, preventing aches and pains. In our Zinus Green Tea Memory Foam Mattress review, we gave this mattress 3.5 out of five stars, which is a good rating for a budget mattress. Its only downfall is that it's too soft for stomach sleepers, and we did find that it trapped heat, which could be troublesome for hot sleepers.

In our Siena Memory Foam mattress review, we found that this mattress offered a lot of bang for its buck. Firstly, it comes with five different layers, while most in this price point have two. Secondly, hot sleepers will be pleasantly surprised at how cool this mattress sleeps. Our tester said they didn't overheat once, even though they tested this mattress in the summer. We should mention that this mattress is pretty firm for a memory foam bed. We'd recommend shopping the other two deals on this list for something softer. A queen Siena Signature is just $359, and while that's not a particularly impressive deal (we see it year round) it's still fantastic value. In fact, we rated it as the best cheap mattress of the year.
