4. LIVE: Latest updates
It’s been more than a month since Nintendo Switch 2 hit store shelves, but the hybrid console remains frustratingly tricky to track down. Switch 2 restocks have been limited, and when a retailer does have increased availability, the console typically sells out in minutes.
The good news is that retailers are working behind the scenes to replenish inventory, and we’ve seen several restocks from the likes of Walmart, Target and Best Buy. While some of these have been in-store, we’ve also seen several online drops over the past few weeks.
Conversely, for Nintendo fans in the U.K., getting hold of a Switch 2 has been comparatively easy. Nintendo Switch 2 restocks in the region have been more frequent and have often lasted days rather than minutes or hours. If you’re in the U.K. and want a Switch 2, you likely won’t have to wait very long to get the chance to secure Nintendo’s new hybrid console.
As a reminder, Nintendo Switch 2 launched on June 5, and costs $449 / £395 standalone or $499 / £429 bundled with Mario Kart World. Unscrupulous scalpers are hoping impatient players will opt to spend more than the standard retail price, but don’t give in and cough up more than is fair on a reseller marketplace. Switch 2 restocks are just around the corner.
I’ve been tracking Switch 2 restocks since launch, and have more than five years of experience covering restock for in-demand gaming products. In this live blog, I’m bringing you the latest Switch 2 restock updates, and also providing all the retailer links you’ll need.

After being absent from the Switch 2 pre-order phase, Amazon U.S. launched a Nintendo Switch 2 listing page last week. But in a very strange move, it's now taken it down again, so at present there are no signs of Switch 2 stock at Amazon U.S. Over in the U.K., the mega retailer has been stocking Switch 2 for weeks and restocked often.
My Nintendo Store is using an invite system to allocate its available Switch 2 stock. You will need to meet specific criteria, including having a Nintendo Switch Online account and then be selected and sent an invite to order the console.
Mario Kart Bundle: $499 @ Nintendo Store
Antonline's Switch 2 listings have a "coming soon" message. This could be a sign that the tech retailer is planning to restock the console in the near future, though that message has been there quite a while now, so it's a little puzzling.
Mario Kart Bundle: $499 @ Antonline
Newegg's Nintendo Switch 2 pages are live, but there's currently no stock. Newegg may restock the console soon, but nothing is confirmed yet, so this is another one to watch closely for now.

Sam's Club has a listing page for the Nintendo Switch 2, which currently advises the console is "coming soon." This could be an indication that the retailer is planning to take Switch 2 orders in the near future, so be sure to watch this space.

The official Nintendo Switch 2 Camera is pretty dull, but this licensed third-party one from Hori is anything but. It's modeled after the iconic Piranha Planet from the Super Mario series and offers all the same features, plus you can close the Piranha's head to give yourself some privacy as needed. Huge caveat: it's resolution maxes out at 480p, whereas the Nintendo camera is 1080p.

You don't need the Switch Joy-Con 2 Wheel to enjoy games like Mario Kart World, but it'll sure make the experience much more fun. You can get a set of two for just $24.

It's not the most exciting Switch 2 accessory, but should you need a spare AC adapter for your Switch to you can get one for $34. It connects directly to the Switch 2 Switch 2 dock.

Take your Switch 2 on the road with the official Switch 2 All-In-One Carrying Case. It's big enough so you can carry the Switch 2, Nintendo Switch 2 dock, Joy-Con 2 controllers, various cables, and up to six game cards.

The Switch 2 comes with an increased storage capacity of up to 2TB. However, the Switch 2 is only compatible with microSD Express cards, which means you'll need new storage cards for your console.

The original Switch's definitive launch game has returned for the Switch 2, and now it's been enhanced for Nintendo's new hardware. It's the masterpiece you (probably) know, but it looks and runs better than ever. If you've never played Breath of the Wild, there really isn't a better time to jump into Hyrule than via this Switch 2 Edition.

Walmart restock at 7pm
While browsing Reddit, I came across a post claiming that Walmart will restock Nintendo Switch 2 consoles at 7 p.m. ET in the U.S.
The problem is that I couldn't find any information on Walmart's website regarding the restock, so I'm unsure if this is legitimate or if it's a Reddit user who created the image to prank people.
I'll keep digging to see if I can find something directly from Walmart, but it's something to keep an eye on in case it is real.
A US stock sweep
I've checked, double-checked and triple-checked every major U.S. retailer to see if any Switch 2 consoles slipped through the cracks.
Sadly, there's nothing out there. Every retailer is out of stock. IF you want to check for yourself, here are the links to the different U.S. retailers.

Any rumored US restocks?
I've been scouring the Nintendo Switch 2 restock feeds on X to see if there are any reliable rumors of upcoming restocks. I checked with @Jake_Randall, as he provided us with some reliable restock information before it happened, but unfortunately, he didn't have anything new to report.
From there, I went to the reliable @LeBlorstOfTimes, but they also don't appear to have any hints about when we could expect to see more Switch 2 consoles hit store shelves in the United States.
The popular X account @Switch2Stock had a similar lack of new information to report.
It looks like things really are all quiet on Switch 2 restocks in the U.S., and we'll just have to wait to hear something from Nintendo.
UK no problem!
Getting a Switch 2 in the U.K. on Amazon is still easy!

No luck for Switch 2 stock in the US (yet)
It's been a while since we've seen any Switch 2 restocks in the U.S., and after another sweep, there's still no stock. We caught word that there may be more units available at Walmart later this week, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled on its listing pages (as we will be!).
With the amount of Switch 2 consoles available in the U.K., there's sure to be more available for U.S. gamers down the line. We'll keep track of retailers, but it's worth checking each one below just in case there's a few surprise restocks!

Switch 2 stock still strong at Amazon UK
Yet another spot where you can grab a Switch 2 is at Amazon UK itself, but don't expect any Prime Day deals on this one (it's only just launched, after all, and as we all know, it hasn't exactly been easy to get).
Interestingly, the Mario Kart World bundle is now priced at £527. That's nearly £100 more than what it should be, so stay away from that price at all costs. The £429 Mario Kart bundle is now available at multiple retailers around the U.K. (including Argos), so stick with that if you're looking to grab Nintendo's big launch game for the Switch 2.
Otherwise, get the Nintendo Switch 2 for its more affordable price at Amazon right now.

Switch 2 (console-only) now in stock at My Nintendo Store (UK)
We're seeing a wave of Nintendo Switch 2 restocks arrive in the U.K. over the last week (the U.S. has yet to see such luck), but it's been hard enough to swipe just the console, which is the most affordable way to grab Nintendo's latest handheld.
That's no longer the case, as the My Nintendo Store finally dropped some console-only Switch 2s. You'll have to be a Nintendo member, and it's limited to one per customer (as per usual), but now's your chance to grab the Nintendo Switch 2 without any add-ons.
Of course, if you're looking to get Mario Kart World for less, you'll want to get that bundle. And it's also available right now at the Nintendo store. Swipe one while you can!

Very UK has a bunch of Switch 2 bundles in stock
We usually see retailers offer a couple of Switch 2 bundles, but Very just dropped a load of Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundles with many extra games and useful accessories — along with the upcoming Donkey Kong Bananza included (releasing July 17).
They're all up for pre-order to go out for delivery on July 17 or July 18, but you'll also find the regular Nintendo Switch 2 with Mario Kart World up for grabs right now. There's plenty on offer here, with some bundles including games and others offering the Switch 2 Pro Controller and Camera, along with a 256GB MicroSD card.
So, if you're just looking for the base Switch 2 with Mario Kart World or want some extras to go along with it, you'll want to nab one of these bundles. Get shopping!
- Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World Bundle: $429 @ Very
- Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World Bundle + Donkey Kong Bananza: £496 @ Very
- Nintendo Switch 2 + Donkey Kong Bananza + Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom: £525 @ Very
- Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World Bundle + 256GB Samsung MicroSD Card: £479 @ Very
- Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World Bundle + Street Fighter 6: £479 @ Very
- Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World Bundle + Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom: £494 @ Very

Overpriced bundles are still in stock in the US
When I check stocks, I check for the reasonable stocks you should actually consider buying. If you absolutely must have the Switch 2, then you can buy one for a massively inflated price through a bundle.
For example, you can pick up this Switch 2 + Mario Kart World with a silicone controller skin for $689 at Walmart right now. It means you're effectively paying $189 for a controller skin. Which is outrageous and something you should not buy.
Instead, keep an eye on this blog for the actual restocks worth your time and we'll flag them up as soon as they're available. The Switch 2 starts at $449 and $499 for the Mario Kart World bundle, so anything over this (without proper extra accessories that make up the added price) isn't worth getting.
Argos continues to have Switch 2 stock in the UK
Good news for gamers across the pond as it looks like Argos continues to have stock of the Switch 2 in the U.K.
Checking this morning and I'm still able to add the Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle to my cart (they call it a trolley) at Argos.
- Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World Bundle: £429 @ Argos
Walmart may offer restocks this week
If there's a glimmer of hope for Switch 2 stock, it could come from Walmart this week. Over the weekend, a report from the Shortcut suggested Walmart is "expected" to get more online Switch 2 stock this week.
When Walmart previously got Switch 2 stock, the retailer opened the first hour of trading to Walmart Plus customers only.
So if you want to steal a march on the rest of the competition, signing up for the service now may be a good idea because it's currently 50% off.
Walmart Plus: was $98/year now $49/year @ Walmart
For returning/expired Walmart Plus members only, Walmart is taking 50% off its annual Walmart Plus membership. The sale comes right ahead of Prime Day.
Retailer sweep — no new restocks on Monday morning yet
It's a new week and that brings with it the fresh hope of Switch 2 restocks at the biggest retailers. Unfortunately, I've just swept through the entire list and nowhere has any available stock of either the standalone Nintendo Switch or the Mario Kart World bundle.
Stay tuned to this blog though as we'll keep checking regularly and will update it the second we get the news of any more availability. Here's a full list of retailers in case you want to scan for yourself or sign up to get a reminder.

Amazon Prime Day incoming — but no Switch 2 stock yet
Amazon is gearing up for the start of Amazon Prime Day this week and we're tracking the best deals across Tom's Guide. Unfortunately, that doesn't extend to the Nintendo Switch 2.
As we start a new week, the console remains frustratingly out of stock at Amazon in the U.S. While you can buy accessories and games for the system, the Switch 2 itself isn't yet available. It's a slightly better story over in the U.K. however, as Amazon does currently have stock there.
