Hulu haven't released much information about this new three part true crime doc but those of us familiar with the case will be tuning in regardless to see how a hapless former mobster hit the jackpot when he stole a pair of shoes worn by Judy Garland in the Wizard of Oz. He'd never seen the 1939 Hollywood classic but been told the shoes were dripping in rubies.
When he discovered the stones were made of glass two days later, he got rid of them and the documentary will hopefully reveal there whereabout during that time before they were eventually recovered by the FBI. The mobster came up for trial in January last year ("There's no place like prison") and twelve months later his erstwhile swag went for $28 million at a memorabilia auction.
