As a Cordon Bleu-trained cook, Mary Berry has published over 70 cookbooks since 1966 and presented hundreds of hours of TV during her career but really crossed over into the mainstream national consciousness when she starred as a judge on "The Great British Bake Off" with Paul Hollywood from 2010 to 2016.
She's going to spend this series recreating her greatest hits but also some new dishes and bakes that show she is never about standing still - is that what she's still so active and popular at 90 years of age? The changes in British cuisine have been revolutionary in her lifetime so she will doubtless reflect upon that with her guests.
They are an eclectic bunch. Fromm comedian Tom Allen with whom she shares some TV archive footage of her cooking outdoors to gardener Alan Titchmarsh who bakes his first ever cake and fellow TV culinary superstar Jamie Oliver who has a quick glass of fizz to toast Mary's lemon drizzle cake.

'Mary at 90: A Lifetime of Cooking' - Episode Guide
Season 01 Episode 01: Dame Mary Berry takes a fond look back at her career in food while bringing viewers incredible mouth-watering recipes to try at home. Her friend, comedian Tom Allen, shares her love of the countryside but perhaps not the same aptitude for cooking. Together, they take a leisurely boat ride, sharing tales and facing the odd challenge as Tom attempts to drive the boat and navigate a lock. They stop along the way to cook Mary’s classic pan-fried cod and bread and butter pudding using her mother’s recipe. Mary also makes her brand new Thai chicken traybake and her reinvention of her 1970s cottage pie with a modern mash.
S01 E02: Sports broadcaster Gabby Logan joins Dame Mary in the kitchen to cook some of her standout time-saving recipes. Gabby asks Mary to share her own tales of being a working mum 50 years ago - the early days when Mary was one of the first TV cooks. Gabby is keen to cook, and she has come to the right place, because from the start of her career, the core of Mary’s focus has been helping busy, working families with simple dishes for when time is short. Mary wants to make the best of them, demonstrating how to make mac and chese with a freezer-friendly twist; her classic dill cured gravadlax, prepped in moments and perfect to make ahead; horseradish beef cheeks, an updated version of a slow-cooked casserole classic; and Mary’s all-time favourite, a moreish and simple New York baked cheese cake.
