'Off Campus' season 2: Everything we know so far
The popular Prime Video hockey romance has already been picked up for a sophomore season
TV's steamy list of ice-rink romances grew this May with the premiere of "Off Campus," the Prime Video adaptation of Elle Kennedy’s bestselling Briar University books, which follow the romantic foibles and athletic antics of the fictional college's star hockey players and the women they love.
The eight-episode first season — which focused on the fake-dating arrangement between sweet music major Hannah Wells (Ella Bright) and brooding team center Garrett Graham (Belmont Carmeli) — was a major hit for the Amazon streaming service, but the powers that be didn't even wait to see how the new series performed before picking it up for a second season.
With more hockey romance ready to skate its way onto your screen, here’s everything we know about “Off Campus” season 2, from the romantic leads to the release window. (And here are five shows like "Off Campus" to keep you pleasantly distracted until the new season comes around.)
When is 'Off Campus' season 2 coming out?
So far, no official release date has been formally announced for "Off Campus" season 2. However, we do know that filming for the second season is scheduled to begin in Canada on June 1 and will reportedly wrap up by mid-September, according to Forbes. Given that it took about a year between production and premiere to make the show's first season, fans should be seeing new episodes as early as spring 2027.
Creator Louisa Levy recently confirmed to Variety that scripts for all eight episodes of the upcoming season are written and ready to go. “We have a very exciting plan for the season,” Levy teased. “I don’t want to say anything yet — but I think book fans will be very excited.”
“'Off Campus' captures the kind of emotionally charged, character-driven storytelling that truly resonates with our global Prime Video audience,” announced Peter Friedlander, Amazon MGM Studios head of global TV, upon the renewal news in February. “We have great confidence in the way Louisa has mastered this adaptation, and we’re excited to give fans even more of the romance, friendship, and heart that define the series.”
Who will be in the 'Off Campus' season 2 cast?
Mika Abdalla (as Hannah's aspiring actress BFF Allie Hayes) and Stephen Kalyn (as Garrett's teammate and close buddy Dean Di Laurentis) will officially serve as our season two romantic leads, per a recently released teaser from Amazon (more on that clip in a bit!); their secret romance was a secondary storyline in the first season but the follow-up will see the couple skate into the spotlight.

“We are so excited to continue Allie and Dean’s story as our primary romance of season 2 after kickstarting their romance in season one,” Levy said in a statement. “But if you fell in love with Hannah and Garrett, don’t worry — they will still be an integral part of our robust ensemble. We’re looking forward to telling the next chapter of everyone’s story. There’s a lot for fans to look forward to!”
Series regulars Ella Bright (as Hannah Wells), Belmont Carmeli (as Garrett Graham) and Antonio Cipriano (as John Logan), as are Jalen Thomas Brooks (as John Tucker) and Khobe Clarke (as Beau Maxwell). And new to the cast for season 2 are recently announced additions, including India Fowler as John Logan’s love interest Grace Ivers and Phillipa Soo as Scarlett, a drama-department instructor.
As for who won't be returning, Josh Heuston won’t be reprising his role as rock-band frontman Justin Kohl in season 2. “Maybe we’ll find a way to fold him into a future season. We don’t have him [available] next season, but never say never,” Levy told TV Guide.
What will 'Off Campus' season 2 be about?
Both the "Off Campus" books and series follow a "Bridgerton"-esque format, with a different core couple at the center of the story. Like that Netflix romance series, "Off Campus" is diverging a bit from the order of Kennedy's original books, with the second season adapting the third Briar U book, "The Score," chronicling the romance between college senior Allie Hayes and hockey star Dean Di Laurentis.
“It’s a book per season, roughly,” Louisa Levy told Entertainment Weekly. “We are teeing up another love story every season.” She added: “It is a little different than the 'Bridgerton' model, where that’s properly a book per season. We will always have a happily ever after of some kind, and then we’ll also have another love story that’s left hanging. So that’s the structure and the model that we’re building… I want audiences to know what they’re tuning in for the following season. I want them to know who they’re showing up for and why, and what story needs to get resolved.”
So, using the first season as a model — which focused mostly on Hannah and Garrett but wove in Allie and Dean's dynamic as a secondary storyline — season two will continue to deepen Dean and Allie's relationship while setting up another coupling from the books, likely that between John Logan and Grace Ivers.
