The best new-to-Prime Video shows to stream this weekend
'Malice'
"Malice" stars Jack Whitehall as Adam, the new nanny for the wealthy Tanner family. He's brought on during the family's vacation, and he quickly becomes a hit with the kids (and the ladies). He does such a good job that, once the vacation is over, family patriarch Jamie Tanner (David Duchovny) asks Adam to stay on.
Unfortunately for Jamie, that's when things start to go wrong. Once Adam is embedded in the Tanner family, he starts to tear it apart from the inside, seemingly intent on ruining Jamie's life. If you love a good old-fashioned psychological thriller, then this new Prime Video show is definitely worth considering as your next binge-watch.

'Hazbin Hotel' season 2
"Hazbin Hotel" stars Erika Henningsen as the voice of Charlie Morningstar, the princess of Hell. Despite being the heir to Hell's fiery throne, she wants nothing more than to redeem sinners so they can get into heaven. Especially since the current solution to Hell's overpopulation problem is for Adam (Alex Brightman) and a bunch of angels to come down and purge the bad place of irredeemable souls.

Charlie's solution to the problem is a novel one: open a hotel. Here, souls can rehabilitate until they're able to "check out" and go to Heaven. Helping Charlie is her girlfriend, Vaggie (Stephanie Beatriz), and their list of guests includes porn stars to mad scientists.
At the start of season 2, business is booming, but not everyone checking in shares Charlie’s noble intentions. With Hell and Heaven on the brink of outright war and Sir Pentious (Brightman) still MIA after the season 1 finale's big battle, the Vees, a trio of Hell's most powerful overlords, see an opportunity to seize control amid all the chaos. Catch up with this adult animated musical (yes, there's singing in Hell) comedy now before the season finale next week.

'King & Conqueror'
I'm a dad, so unsurprisingly, I'm a sucker for a historical drama series. Lucky for me, Prime Video added "King & Conquerer" at the beginning of the month, and this BBC production looks awesome. My colleague Alyse dubbed it a cross between "Game of Thrones" and "Succession," and she's not wrong. It even stars "Game of Thrones" alum Nikolaj Coster-Waldau as William, Duke of Normandy, who would go down in history as William the Conqueror, or William I of England.
The series ultimately builds up to the climactic Battle of Hastings, but it starts years earlier with the debate around who will succeed Edward the Confessor as King of the English. Edward was arguably a good ruler, but his inability to produce an heir ultimately led to his house's downfall. It also meant that an heir still needed to be found, and for a while, it seemed it could be William, who was Edward's cousin by marriage.
But William isn't the only contender for the throne. Harold Godwinson (James Norton), Edward's brother-in-law, is also a possible successor, even though he's allied with William. This family drama ultimately changed the course of world history, so don't miss this eight-part miniseries now that it's available to stream on Prime Video.
