James Bond casting is underway — but who do you think should play the next 007?

The James Bond rumor machine has been working overtime ever since Daniel Craig bowed out of the role in “No Time To Die” way back in 2021, and five years later, everyone’s still asking the same question: Who’s going to be the next James Bond?!

Well, we might be drawing close to getting an answer to that question. In case you missed the news, on May 14, Amazon MGM Studios released a statement finally confirming that, yes, “the search for the next James Bond is underway.” Alas, that statement also doesn’t give us a timeline for the big reveal; the studio simply says, “We’re excited to share more news with 007 fans as soon as the time is right.”

Seeing as we have no idea when the reveal will arrive, we’d like you to vote on who you think the next James Bond should be. Below, I've assembled a poll listing 10 of the (many!) actors who have been rumored for the role, and we'd like you to vote for your favorite potential Bond.

All of the above have been rumored to be in the mix for the Bond role at some point, and I decided to stick to ten options to avoid the poll getting too long; they definitely aren't the only people who've been touted as potential Bonds. If I've missed an obvious pick, be sure to tell me who you think should play the next James Bond in our comments section.

The most recent Bond casting news we'd had came from Variety, which reported earlier this week that 26-year-old British stage actor Tom Francis had auditioned for the role.

Prior to that, we learned that Amazon MGM Studios had recruited casting director Nina Gold to help find their new star. Gold previously helped assemble the "Game of Thrones" cast, plus she has credits on five Star Wars films, Netflix's "The Crown," "The Martian," and was nominated for the inaugural casting award at the 2026 Oscars for "Hamnet."

Deadline's Baz Bamigboye reports that the casting criteria for the new Bond require the star to be young enough to play him "in three or four, or more" films. Plus, the publication reports Nina Gold says the new star has to "ooze sex appeal," along with the "obvious stuff" like being able to act.

Hopefully, we'll learn more about Denis Villeneuve's upcoming Bond film soon, but for now, let us know who you think our next suave superspy should be. In the meantime, you can look forward to getting your Bond fix in the upcoming video game, 007 First Light, which releases on May 27, AND play one of our Bond movie quizzes, below.
