Huge Chromebook sale at Best Buy — my top 7 deals from $139

The Best Buy Member Deals Days sale is officially underway. The week-long sale includes discounts on various categories, but it's the Chromebook sales that have me doing a double take.
For a limited time, Best Buy has Chromebooks on sale from $139. It's a huge sale with budget models under $299 and more powerful models in the $399 range. One of the best deals is the Lenovo Chromebook Duet 11 for $349.
If you're not familiar with Chromebooks, they're great machines for school, work, or everyday use at home. Some of the best Chromebooks offer the perfect balance of performance, efficiency and value — without breaking the bank. We wouldn't recommend them for hard-core gamers, but they're reliable for streaming and other Web-based tasks. Below I've rounded up my favorite affordable Chromebooks in Best Buy's sale. This Lenovo IdeaPad 3i is a cheap, durable Chromebook that's good enough for browsing the web or doing light schoolwork. The 15.6-inch 1080p screen gives you plenty of room to stream videos, and the 4GB of RAM and Intel Celeron CPU are good enough for basic work. The only big limitation is the 64GB of storage space, but Chromebooks rely on Internet access and cloud apps for most things anyway.
Right now, you can save $210 on an IdeaPad Slim 3 Chromebook, a popular pick at Best Buy that features a MediaTek Kompanio 520 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of eMMC storage, and a 14-inch, 1920 x 1080-pixel display. Plus, this laptop is in Lenovo’s gorgeous Abyss Blue colorway instead of the boring old gray you’ll find on most laptops.
This deal knocks over $150 off HP’s 15.6-inch Chromebook. If you’re looking for a Chromebook that can simply access the internet, manage emails, stream the web, and work in Google Docs or a similar web-based program, this is one of the best value Chromebooks I’ve seen on sale for Labor Day. It comes with an Intel N200 processor, 8GB of RAM, 64 GB of eMMC storage, and a 15.6-inch, 1366 x 768-pixel display.
The Galaxy Chromebook Go is one of the most stylish Chromebooks you'll find. In addition to its svelte looks, this laptop comes with an Intel Celeron processor, 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of RAM. There's also a 14-inch 1366 x 768 display.
If you can’t decide between a tablet and a Chromebook, the Lenovo Duet 11 is probably your best option. The keyboard and trackpad piece can completely detach from the display when you just want to use the device as a tablet. It’s equipped with a MediaTek Kompanio 838 processor, 4GB of RAM, 128GB of eMMC storage, and an 11-inch, 1920 x 1200-pixel display.
The Lenovo Flex 5i Chromebook Plus is one of the best Chromebooks around, and with this price cut, it now presents more value than ever. It features a 14-inch 2K touch display, Intel Core i3-1315U CPU, 8GB of RAM, and a 128GB SSD. In our Lenovo Flex 5i Chromebook Plus review, we said it's an affordable Chromebook that's good for research, remote learning, and writing or editing basic documents.
This is one of the best Chromebooks you can pick up for gaming right now. The Acer Chromebook Plus 516 GE excels at cloud gaming, and with Nvidia GeForce Now and Xbox Game Pass, your game library could be vast. Spec-wise, it's equipped with an Intel Core 5 120U processor, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of SSD storage, and a beautiful 16-inch, 2560 x 1600-pixel display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
