The price of NAND flash chips has continued to fall, with the price of 8 Gb NAND flash recently dropping to as low as $2.35 amid weak demand for consumer electronics products as consumers worldwide tighten their spending in fear of inflation. In addition, chipmakers will soon need to try to keep the price of 16 Gb NAND flash from dropping below the $4-level, according to market sources.
