In our Emma Hybrid Airgrid Mattress review, we found that this mattress offered high levels of pressure relief and slept incredibly cool — the company's AirGrid tech is not a gimmick by any means. It also absorbs motion exceptionally well, which surprised us, given that this is a very bouncy bed. Right now, a single is £468 (was £669) and a double is £669 (was £999). But if you use code BOXINGDAY30, you can get an additional £30 off your purchase.
Why we love this mattress...
We slept on this mattress and can attest that it does, in fact, sleep cool. That's due to its AirGrid Technology layer, which has flexible cooling pockets to improve overall airflow and contour to your body while you sleep.
We found that this mattress offers enough support for average-weight back sleepers, but overall think it's best matched to side sleepers. Thanks to its high levels of pressure relief in the shoulders, hips, and knees.
Our tester noted that it gives you a weightless sort of feel, and because of its hybrid design, it was easy to shift around into different positions.
One thing to note is that it does have an initial strong 'off-gassing' smell, something that can happen to even the best mattresses in a box. Our tester said it took a full day with the window cracked for the smell to completely leave, but then it was gone.
If you like a firmer mattress...
I've been sleeping on this mattress for the past year, and it has helped ease the pain in my hips. As a side sleeper, I need a high amount of pressure relief in my shoulders and hips, and the Simba Hybrid Pro does just that. It also absorbs movement in the bed, so I'm rarely woken up by my partner moving around. Right now, a single is £799, and a double is £1,199, but the real deal here is the free bedding bundle, which includes two pillows, a duvet, and a mattress protector.
