Steam’s first-ever Black Friday sale has games from $3 — here are 13 deals I’d buy now
Steam's Black Friday sale has introduced massive discounts on not only pre-2025 titles, but on some of our favorite games of this year, too. For instance, EA Sports FC 26 is currently 50% off at Steam, so it's available for just $34. Meanwhile, for JRPG fans, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth has also received a 50% price cut.
Whether you're looking for an action-adventure game or a first-person shooter, there are many jaw-dropping discounts to be had — and some games start at just $3! And while you're adding video games to your virtual cart, why not take advantage of the killer deals on handheld consoles, or upgrade your PC setup to enjoy your new titles?
The Lenovo Legion Go S with SteamOS (Ryzen Z1 Extreme) is available for $649 at Best Buy, saving you $250, and it's got a ton of horsepower to run AAA titles at 50-60fps. If handheld gaming isn't your speed, the Lenovo LOQ 15 (RTX 5050) is a fantastic entry-level gaming laptop, available for just $649 at Best Buy. If you’re a fan of the World of Wizarding, Hogwarts Legacy will keep you gripped from minute one. Far better than it has any right to be in an age of phoned-in licences, this action-adventure with RPG and sandbox elements wisely detaches itself from Daniel Radcliffe’s blockbuster silver screen saga. In doing so, it creates one of the most compelling takes on the franchise there’s ever been.

Rockstar’s classic cowboy open-world is peerlessly good at focusing in on the finer details. Its sweeping map is great at both drawing the eye for miles and showing off incredibly detailed flora. Red Red Redemption 2 is still stuns with its visuals to this day, but it also provides a solid 30 fps experience with the right tweaks on Steam Deck.

Straight from PlayStation and now on PC, Horizon Forbidden West is an open-world epic sequel that will have you fighting robot dinosaurs. That premise alone had me sold, but its wild story and gorgeous visuals is what makes the game truly shine. There's a few must-experience sequences that won't disappoint, and the Complete Edition also comes with the excellent Burning Shores DLC.

Battlefield 6 is a return to form for the long-running FPS with traditional classes, restrained maps, and snappy gunplay. It’s slightly brought down by a Netflix-style UI and an abysmal single-player campaign, but you’re likely playing Battlefield for the multiplayer anyway.

The anticipated second part of the Final Fantasy VII remake series, FFVII Rebirth is one of the most beautiful RPGs ever made. This game is absolutely packed with content, providing hundreds of hours of activities. At nearly half price, now is a great time to give Final Fantasy VII Rebirth a shot. We loved how the side quests and minigames provided a huge amount of depth to the gameplay, and we considered it a must-own PS5 title in our Final Fantasy VII Rebirth review.

An RTX 5070 gaming laptop that is cheaper than most RTX 5060 systems, which doesn't forget the rest of the spec sheet. The 16-inch 165Hz display is buttery smooth, while the Intel Core i7-13620H CPU and 16GB DDR5 RAM keeps things zippy.
