‘The Last Frontier’ (Apple TV Plus)

‘Boots’ (Netflix)
This comedy, inspired by Greg Cope White’s memoir "The Pink Marine," sets the coming-of-age story in a brutal 1990s boot camp, where the drills are unforgiving, friendships are messy and being gay in uniform is strictly off-limits.
Miles Heizer stars as Cameron, a closeted misfit fumbling through both military training and self-discovery, while his best friend Ray (Liam Oh) struggles under the weight of his father’s expectations. ‘9-1-1: Nashville’ (ABC)

Luxury cruises are supposed to promise relaxation, not terror, but Keira Knightley’s latest assignment delivers more of the latter in this psychological thriller. Playing journalist Laura Blacklock, Knightley witnesses a passenger thrown overboard during the ship’s maiden voyage — only to be told it never happened.
As disbelief swirls around her, Laura plunges into a dangerous search for answers, questioning her sanity and everyone onboard. Directed by Simon Stone and based on Ruth Ware’s bestselling novel, “The Woman in Cabin 10” keeps viewers guessing who and what can be trusted on the open sea.

‘Maintenance Required’ (Prime Video)
If you loved “You’ve Got Mail,” brace yourself for a 2025 reboot (kind of). This new rom-com swaps cozy bookstores for an all-female mechanic shop, where Charlie (Madelaine Petsch) faces a corporate rival across the street.
Seeking comfort online, she pours her heart out to a mysterious forum admirer — who, plot twist, is Beau (Jacob Scipio), the very man threatening her business. Sparks fly as engines and egos collide.

‘How to Train Your Dragon’ (Peacock)
I'll be the first to say that a live-action "How to Train Your Dragon" movie did not need to exist, but clearly, I'm in the minority because DreamWorks made over $630 million at the box office with this one. Its 97% percent audience score on Rotten Tomatoes suggests most fans enjoyed it too, so I'm fully aware I'm that meme of an old man yelling at clouds when it comes to needless live-action remakes.
Return to the island of Berk, where Vikings and dragons have clashed for generations, and follow Hiccup (Mason Thames), the awkward teenage son of the village chief, as he begins to find his place in the world. When Hiccup discovers an injured Night Fury, he starts to question everything he's been taught about dragons. As he secretly cares for Toothless, it sparks an unlikely friendship. But with tensions rising, it's up to Hiccup to convince his people that humans and dragons must rally together to survive an even greater threat.

'My Father, the BTK Killer' (Netflix)
True crime girlies are eating good this week with Netflix's latest documentary, "My Father, the BTK Killer," which dives into one of America's most infamous serial killers as told through the eyes of his daughter. In 2005, Kerri Rawson's life was shattered when her father, Dennis Rader, was arrested and revealed to be the BTK Killer, responsible for at least 10 brutal murders.
This gripping documentary revisits the chilling crimes that plagued Wichita, Kansas, for decades, building on Rawson’s 2019 memoir with new interviews from journalists and law enforcement who followed the case closely. But it focuses less on the shocking headlines and more on the enduring emotional toll on a daughter reckoning with an unimaginably horrific truth.
