Prime Video top 10 shows — here’s the 3 I’m binge-watching this weekend
The best Prime Video shows you should be streaming right now

Prime Video’s top 10 chart is always in flux, with new releases racing to the top and familiar hits making surprise comebacks. It’s a useful guide for your next binge, but not every trending title is truly worth your time.
That’s why we’ve sifted through the noise to highlight the three shows that genuinely deserve a spot on your Prime Video watchlist (and the ones I'll be streaming this weekend).
This week’s picks include the much-anticipated return of “Gen V,” the intense spinoff of “The Terminal List” currently sitting in the No. 1 spot, and a new action-drama featuring “Grey’s Anatomy” star Jesse Williams.
This is based on the Prime Video top 10 U.S shows as of Friday, September 26, 2025.
Best shows in the Prime Video top 10
‘Hotel Costiera’
Prime Video’s newest original series, “Hotel Costiera,” is an action-packed drama set against the stunning backdrop of Italy’s sunny coast. Even as the weather turns chilly, the show is clearly resonating with audiences as it continues to climb the charts. Sometimes, there’s nothing quite like a bright, sun-drenched series to bring a little warmth to your screen.
Fellow streaming writer Martin Shore described the series as “simple, escapist viewing,” adding that “if you need some fun in the sun or a slice of escapist, trouble-in-paradise action, Prime Video's new arrival just might be worth checking out.”
“Hotel Costiera” follows Daniel “DD” De Luca (Jesse Williams), a former U.S. Marine with Italian roots who returns to the Amalfi Coast to work as a fixer at a luxurious seaside resort. Tasked with solving problems for the hotel’s wealthy guests, he soon finds himself drawn into a deeper mystery: the disappearance of the owner’s daughter, Alice, who vanished a month earlier.

‘Gen V’
I’ll be diving straight into the newest episodes of “Gen V” season 2 this weekend, which is a series I’ve been eagerly awaiting since its debut season. It wasn’t just that it captured the twisted, darkly satirical tone of “The Boys” so well, but also because I can’t resist anything tied to that universe.
My colleague at Tom’s Guide, Malcolm McMillan, echoed the sentiment in his review: season 2 of “Gen V” is a must-watch if you want to stay fully prepped for what’s ahead in “The Boys” season 5.
This new chapter picks up in the aftermath of “The Boys” season 4, with major shifts at Godolkin University. Marie (Jaz Sinclair), Emma (Lizze Broadway), and Jordan (London Thor / Derek Luh) return after months of upheaval, only to find the campus under a new regime. Supes are now being trained as soldiers, heightening tensions with humans, while the re-emergence of a covert Cold War–era initiative known as Project Odessa threatens to upend everything.

‘The Terminal List: Dark Wolf’
“The Terminal List: Dark Wolf” acts as a prequel to Prime Video’s acclaimed thriller “The Terminal List,” headlined by Chris Pratt. This installment shifts the focus to Navy SEAL Ben Edwards (Taylor Kitsch) years before the events of the original series, exploring his journey from disciplined serviceman to shadowy CIA paramilitary asset.
While training and operating with his future comrade James Reece (Pratt), Edwards becomes entangled in secret missions that blur his sense of loyalty. The story begins with a high-stakes strike on ISIS operatives, then broadens as Edwards — aided by fellow SEAL Raife Hastings (Tom Hopper) — is pulled into dangerous assignments under the watch of a controlling CIA handler.
Throughout the series, viewers witness the defining battles and choices that reshape him, charting his descent from loyal teammate to an operative hardened by compromise and steeped in darkness.

Alix is a Senior Streaming Writer at Tom’s Guide, which basically means watching the best movies and TV shows and then writing about them. It’s a dream job for someone who’s been obsessed with storytelling since she first figured out how to work a remote.
Before joining Tom’s Guide, Alix honed her skills as a staff writer with outlets like Screen Rant and Bough Digital, where she discovered her love for the entertainment industry.
She heads to the cinema every week as a tradition, no matter what’s showing. For her, movies aren’t just entertainment — they’re a ritual, a comfort, and a constant source of inspiration. When she’s not at her desk or at the cinema, you’ll probably find her deep into a horror video game on her PC.
