I picked the 3 best shows from Prime Video’s top 10 to binge-watch this week — including Nicolas Cage’s new superhero drama (June 3-9)
Add these standout shows to your Prime Video watchlist
Finding something worthwhile in Prime Video’s top 10 can be a challenge, much like it is on most streaming platforms. A high chart position doesn’t necessarily guarantee a show is worthy of a full weekend marathon. Since I spend a large chunk of my time watching, reviewing, and covering the latest streaming releases, I make a habit of tracking Prime Video’s biggest hits to separate the genuinely great shows from those that are simply riding the trend wave.
There are several strong options in Prime Video’s rankings right now. Among them are a new action-packed superhero series with Nicolas Cage, a hugely popular romance drama that continues to dominate the top spot, and a true crime doc. To help cut through the noise, I’ve picked the three shows from the streamer’s current top 10 that I think are most deserving of a spot on your watchlist this week.
This list is based on the Prime Video U.S. top 10 shows as of Wednesday, June 3 2026.
Best shows in the Prime Video top 10
‘Spider-Noir’
The biggest release on Prime Video last week was “Spider-Noir,” a new superhero series that reimagines comic book storytelling as a hard-boiled detective thriller set in the 1930s. What makes the show especially unique is its presentation. To honor both its comic book roots and the cinematic influences behind the genre, Prime Video lets viewers choose how they watch the entire season. Episodes are available in a vibrant “True-Hue Full Color” format or an “Authentic Black & White” version, with the latter appearing to be the intended viewing experience.
Set in Depression-era New York City, “Spider-Noir” centers around the weary Ben Reilly (Nicolas Cage), a private investigator who once operated as the city’s only masked vigilante. After years spent trying to leave that life behind, Ben is pulled back into danger when a seemingly routine case uncovers secret criminal activity stretching across the city. Ben soon finds himself crossing paths with journalist Robbie Robertson (Lamorne Morris), nightclub singer Cat Hardy (Li Jun Li), and notorious crime boss Silvermane (Brendan Gleeson) as he hunts for answers.

‘Off Campus’
Still sitting in the No. 1 spot is “Off Campus,” the steamy romantic drama based on Elle Kennedy’s bestselling novels. The series updates the ensemble campus-drama formula popularized by shows like “One Tree Hill” and “Gossip Girl,” while adopting a “Bridgerton”-style approach that shifts the romantic focus between different couples connected to an elite college hockey team. Prime Video's confidence in the adaptation has already been rewarded, with the show drawing 36 million viewers worldwide in its first 12 days. In hindsight, renewing it for a second season ahead of its premiere looks like a very smart decision.

“Off Campus” follows Hannah Wells (Ella Bright), a talented songwriter and student at Briar University, whose life becomes intertwined with star hockey player Garrett Graham (Belmont Cameli). Struggling to pass a class, Garrett convinces Hannah to tutor him, and the arrangement gradually pulls them into each other’s social circles. Of course, spending so much time together is bound to stir up some feelings, leading to complications that neither of them expected.

‘Death Comes Knocking’
True crime has become one of the most consistently popular genres across streaming platforms, with services like Netflix and Prime Video regularly releasing new documentaries and docuseries to meet demand. One such example is “Death Comes Knocking” on Prime Video, which examines real homicide investigations where key evidence comes from modern home surveillance technology, especially doorbell cameras and CCTV systems.
Each episode reconstructs a different case, showing how investigators piece together events using footage captured outside homes, in hallways, or from nearby security systems. The series covers a range of murders and suspicious deaths, often beginning with a sudden incident and following detectives as they track suspects and build cases based heavily on video evidence. It’s a must-watch for true-crime fans who prefer the slow, fascinating unraveling of real-life mysteries.
