Nearly four decades after it first debuted back in 1989, "American Gladiators" is back, with a reboot launching on Prime Video on Friday, April 17 with its first three episodes. (Three more episodes will follow on April 24, with the final four installments landing on the Amazon platform on May 1.)

The new version of the competition series will see male and female contenders from across the United States enter the arena to face 16 new Gladiators; at the end of the competition, one man and one woman will each win $100,000 and be crowned American Gladiator Champion.

Fans of the O.G. series will be pleased to see the return of classic events including Joust, Powerball, Hang Tough and The Wall. Prime Video has also confirmed new events including The Ring and Collision.

'Absolute Value of Romance'

Dropping its first four episodes on Prime Video on April 17, this "fresh and witty" South Korean coming-of-age drama follows Yeo Eui-ju (Kim Hyang-gi, of "The Queen's Classroom" fame), a quiet student with a double life: She's a romance novelist by night.

The unassuming highschooler finds titillating inspiration in the form of four gorgeous new male teachers at her school: icy U-su (Cha Hak-yeon), lively Da-ju (Kim Jae-hyun), gruff Gi-jeon (Son Jeong-hyeok), and gentle Song-ju (Kim Dong-gyu). Their arrival sends Yeo's anonymous stories into overdrive and her schoolmates subsequently into a tiff, but when one of the teachers discovers her secret, will she be able to finish her novel unscathed?

The fifth and final season of Prime Video’s beloved superhero satire “The Boys” is officially here. The new eps, which kicked off on April 8, find the world dominated by Homelander (Antony Starr), a fascist takeover that sees dissenters imprisoned in Freedom Camps. Good thing, then, that Bully Butcher (Karl Urban) is back to gather the troops, including Hughie (Jack Quaid) and Annie (Erin Moriarty), and mount a resistance effort against that tyrannical rule.

That effort, though, sets in motion "a chain of events that will forever change the world and everyone in it," per the season's official logline. "It’s the climax, people. Big stuff’s gonna happen, promises the streamer. (An extra bit of fun? "Supernatural" fans will see a bit of a reunion between stars Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins, who are cameoing this season, as well as their old cohort Jensen Ackles returning as a series regular.)
