Get these thriller movies in your Netflix watchlist
Netflix subscribers are always on the hunt for new thriller movies to watch. Clearly, the streaming platform's bigwigs know this, so they ensure that a steady stream of gripping flicks is always populating the Netflix library.
Over the coming days, a couple of new to Netflix thriller movies will be arriving, and there’s also plenty still worth watching in the huge drop of more than 40 movies and shows that arrived at the start of the month. To help you find something exciting to stream this week, I’ve combed through Netflix's slate for November 2025 and picked out the latest thriller movies.
These range from an acclaimed flick from Edgar Wright, director of “The Running Man,” to a Liam Neeson-fronted thriller, which viewers rate 83% on Rotten Tomatoes. These are the three new to Netflix thriller movies you’ll want to add to your watchlist in the coming days.
Netflix thriller movies worth watching this week
‘Baby Driver’ (2017)
Director Edgar Wright’s new flick “The Running Man” sprints into theatres this Friday (Nov. 14), and Netflix is celebrating the occasion by adding this rhythmic 2017 action-thriller “Baby Driver” to its movie library. Inspired by Wright’s early work as a music video director, “Baby Driver” is a high-octane thriller that sets the action to some slick beats. The characters perhaps needed a little more time in the shop — the eponymous Miles “Baby” is an extremely milquetoast protagonist — but overall this is an entertaining watch.
Baby (Ansel Elgort) is a skilled getaway driver who uses music to drown out the tinnitus in his ears. Taken under the wing of criminal mastermind Doc (Kevin Spacey), he longs to leave behind his life of crime when he meets diner waitress Debora (Lily James). Agreeing to complete one last job, it’s full pedal to the metal when things go south. Also starring Jamie Foxx, Jon Hamm and Eiza González, “Baby Driver” is a full-speed triumph.

‘The Marksman’ (2021)
Netflix has already has already has success this year with a Liam Neeson action-thriller in the form of “Ice Road: Vengeance,” which went straight to No. 1 in September. So, I expect “The Marksman” will garner similar attention when it arrives on the platform this weekend. The reviews for this 2021 effort were far from spectacular, but I suspect that won’t hold it back. If you’re looking for Neeson’s trademark brand of action thrills, then “The Marksman” is one to keep an eye on. Just don’t expect anything original.

In “The Marksman,” Neeson plays Jim Hanson, a retired Marine now living in an Arizona border town. Hanson lives in isolation, and that’s the way he likes it. However, his solitary existence is thrown into turmoil when he witnesses a mother (Teresa Ruiz) and a young boy (Jacob Perez) fleeing from a Mexican drug cartel led by the ruthless Mauricio (Juan Pablo Raba). Taking the boy under his charge, Hanson must get him to his family in Chicago.

‘Zodiac’ (2007)
David Fincher is my favorite director, so wherever I see one of his movies pop up on Netflix, I’m always going to shout about it. “Zodiac” is considered by some to be his magnum opus, but it never quite managed to garner the attention of his more recognized works like “Seven” and “Fight Club.” In fact, it was a box office flop, which is criminal for a dark thriller absolutely packed with mystery, suspense and intrigue. That it’s all based on the hunt for one of the most infamous and elusive serial killers in American history only makes it narrative even richer.
Starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr. and Brian Cox, you don’t need to be a decorated detective to figure out which serial killer this movie focuses on. The Zodiac Killer is a murderer who went on a shocking spree during the 1960s and 70s and, crucially, was never caught or identified. This movie spin on the hunt to end his reign of terror is gripping from the get-go and is all wrapped in Fincher’s meticulous film craft.
