FAQs

Does Oakley have free shipping?

Yes! Oakley offers free Green Shipping, which takes about 7 business days, on all orders over $50. If your cart is under $50, standard shipping fees will apply and vary depending on state.

Are Oakley meta glasses waterproof?

It depends on which model of Oakley Meta glasses you buy because they have different water resistance ratings.

Oakley Meta Vanguard are water resistant with an IP67 rating, they are built specifically for active, outdoor use and can survive being submerged in up to 1 meter (about 3.3 feet) of water for up to 30 minutes.

Oakley Meta HSTN are not waterproof as they only have an IPX4 rating. This means they are only designed to withstand light splashes of water or light sweat

Which Oakley lenses are best for golf?

Oakley makes two specialized lenses for the golf course: Prizm Golf and Prizm Dark Golf, which use Oakley's Prizm Sport technology and a distinct rose-colored base tint. This specific tint manipulates the light entering your eyes to drastically enhance colour contrast, making it easier to read the grain in the greens, spot transitions between the fairway and the rough, and track a white golf ball against a blue sky.

I'm a fan of smart tech, but don't just take my word for it. Our family over at Cycling Monthly explain exactly how Oakley's Prizm Lenses offer a competitive edge on the golf course.

Do Oakley Meta glasses have a display?

No, Oakley Meta glasses do not have a built-in display or screen. Like the standard Ray-Ban Meta glasses, both the Oakley Meta HSTN and the Oakley Meta Vanguard models are audio and camera smart glasses. They do not project any holograms, maps, or augmented reality text into your field of view.

Does Oakley accept VSP?

Yes, Oakley accepts Vision Service Plan insurance in physical stores; however, for online orders, you must pay the full price for your prescription eyewear at checkout. Download an out-of-network claim form directly on Oakley's website or through your VSP account, then submit the completed form along with your Oakley receipt to VSP to get a reimbursement check for your covered allowance.

How we source coupon codes

The coupons you’ll find on Tom’s Guide have been sourced by our dedicated coupons team, who use the web, our relationships with retailers, & our affiliate networks to find the latest codes. The offers on each coupon page are updated every few days to ensure we feature the freshest ways to save, and our commercial team (based in London) also sources exclusive codes and sales info directly from some of the biggest retailers around.

How we test coupon codes

All the coupon codes we list on our pages have been tested by our deals & offers teams to check they work as intended before they’ve been uploaded. You’ll find a wide range of coupons on Tom’s Guide, including free shipping offers, student discounts, and savings on various kinds of products.

To ensure that all listed codes are available to use, we don’t include any one-time use or user-specific coupons. We also provide as much information as we can to keep things as clear as possible - any expiry dates or terms & conditions will be listed alongside the code. Look for the ‘Terms & Conditions’ text - you’ll be able to click this to expand this section for more details.

What to do if a coupon code doesn’t work

We take care to only list tried & tested coupons on our pages, so all codes should be active and confer the listed discount or deal. However, although we keep up to date with expiry dates and any terms & conditions, sometimes retailers change these before we can update our pages.

Should a coupon fail to work as expected, check you meet any listed requirements. These can include minimum spends, multibuy offers, or product-specific promotions (i.e. 10% off selected tablets). You can view all associated requirements by clicking “View terms and conditions” below your code.

If this does not solve your issue, you can contact our customer service team by emailing coupons.tomsguide@futurenet.com. Make sure to let us know which coupon you were trying to use and which page this was listed on, and we’ll be in touch to help as soon as possible.

How we make money

Tom’s Guide makes money from coupons through a commission-based model. We have agreements in place with each retailer on our site - for every purchase made using one of our coupons or deals, we earn a small percentage of the order total back in commission.

Thanks to this model, we can save our customers money without charging them a thing. You won’t pay a penny to get the discounts listed on our pages, so whichever code or deal you choose, you’ll get exactly what it says on the tin.

About Oakley

Oakley is an iconic American eyewear brand famous for its high-performance eyewear and athletic gear. Founded in 1975 by James Jannard in his garage with just $300, Oakley originally made unique motorcycle handgrips made from a material they called "Unobtainium", a moisture-activated, slip-resistant rubber that is still used on the ear socks and nose pads of their modern glasses. After gaining popularity making BMX and motocross goggles, Oakley officially entered the sunglasses market in the 1980s with the release of the Eyeshade, a futuristic design loved by professional cyclists and snowboarders, which helped cement the brand's reputation for innovative sports eyewear.

Today, Oakley is a leading brand in sports performance equipment and eyewear and is a household name in global surf, snow, golf, and motorsports culture. They are best known for their bold, aggressive frame designs and their proprietary Prizm lens technology, which is engineered to enhance color and contrast to show precise detail in athletic environments. Oakley has also moved into the smart glasses game, with the Meta Vanguard, which can provide real-time data and links seamlessly to Strava to track and share your workout sessions.
