Looking to upgrade your ride or pick up a present for your kid? You'll want to check out these Black Friday deals on electric scooters, which start at a low $99. I've been testing electric scooters for Tom's Guide for a decade, so I have a real feel for what makes for a good scooter — and a good scooter deal.
Right now, one of my favorite picks is the Segway C2 Pro Kids mode, which is just $229 at Amazon. It's a great model for you child to start out on, and right now it's $70 off. And for adults, I recommend the Segway E3 Pro, which is down to $499 on Amazon. Read on for all of my other favorite deals on the best electric scooters.

Electric scooters for kids
This electric scooter is ideal for kids 6-12 who are just starting out. It has a low top speed and a somewhat limited range, so they can't go too far or too fast. It comes in three colors: black, blue, or pink.
Top speed: 7.5 MPH
Range: 3.75 miles
Motor: 150 W
This model is at the top of our list of the best electric scooters for kids. It has a great design, a top speed of 12 MPH (which you can adjust so that it's slower), and a range of about 7.5 miles, so your kids can have a lot of fun before it needs to be recharged.
Top speed: 12.4 MPH
Range: 7.5 miles
Motor: 150 W
Razor has been making scooters for decades, so it knows a thing or two. This electric model has an 8-inch pneumatic tire for a smoother ride, dual brakes, and a steel frame.
Top speed: 10 MPH
Range: 30 minutes
Motor: 90 W
Fancy something a little more stylish? This Razor looks like an Italian scooter, so your kid can zip around like they were in "Roman Holiday." Its for kids 7 and up, with an optimum rider weight of 40 to 80 lbs and a maximum weight of 110 lbs.
Top speed: 8 MPH
Range: 40 minutes
Motor: 100 W
Deals under $300
This scooter is best for those who don't have to go too far, or up too steep of a hill. It has solid 8.5-inch rubber tires, a rear suspension to smooth things out, and at 32 pounds, isn't too heavy to carry around.
Top speed: 18 MPH
Range: 18 miles
Motor: 350 W
Another great scooter for those with modest needs, this Hiboy model weighs just under 32 pounds, so it's easy to carry. However, it has solid tires and no suspension.
Top speed: 19 MPH
Range: 17 miles
Motor: 350 W
Deals under $500
This is one of the best scooter values, especially now that it's under $500. In our Segway E3 Pro review, we loved its performance versus price, its design, and extras like Apple FindMy.
Top speed: 20 MPH
Range: 34 miles
Motor: 400 W
This GoTrax model has a beefier 500W motor, so it should be able to better get you up hills, and it has 10-inch pneumatic tires and dual suspension for a smoother ride. We also like its glowing LEDs on the deck, and there's even a little cargo rack.
Top speed: 20 MPH
Range: 38 miles
Motor: 500 W
Deals under $1,000
This is a great commuter scooter. It has dual motors and suspension, a huge light bar in the front for greater visibility, regenerative braking, and it even has turn signals.
Top speed: 28 MPH
Range: 34 miles
Motor: Dual 750 W
Now we're talking. This KQi scooter has a pretty excellent range, front and rear mechanical disc brakes, 9.5-inch tires, and front suspension. While we've not tested this model, we have ridden others from the company, and they're all great.
Top speed: 24 MPH
Range: 40 miles
Motor: 500 W
Another one of the best electric scooters, the Segway Max G3's range meant we could ride it all week without having to recharge it, and its big motor let us speed up hills with ease. It also has a fantastic design and dual suspension.
Top speed: 28 MPH
Range: 50 miles
Motor: 850 W
