The LG C5 may have been supplanted in LG's lineup, but it was still one of the best TVs we reviewed last year, and now it's got even cheaper.

Amazon's Big Spring Sale 2026 is getting underway this week, but Best Buy isn't about to let its rival get all the credit. The retailer has slashed the price of the LG C5 by nearly 50% to bring it down to $1,399 for the 65-inch model.

That's an astonishing deal on a still-awesome TV that you don't want to pass up.

The LG C5 OLED is built on an illustrious design that offers stellar brightness and color metrics. Self-emitting pixels allow it to spit out gorgeous contrast, and it offers a slew of features for gamers to enjoy their favorite experiences at breakneck speeds.

It's true, that could change in the coming weeks as we get 2026's slate of new sets into our lab for testing, but if you're looking for quality right now, you won't do better than this TV.

In our LG C5 OLED TV review, we called out the gorgeous display with a stunning level of contrast that made both colorful and dark scenes pop right off the screen. The C5 impressed us with a high peak brightness of 1165 nits.

While OLED TVs can sometimes struggle in brightly lit environments, that's not the case with the C5 and you can have it on at midday in the brightest room in your house and still enjoy your content.

This TV is also a great option for gamers as it offers low lag times, a high refresh rate and support for Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium.

If you want to know the downsides, well, the remote could be a bit better designed and the sound will improve once you've added a quality soundbar. But really, that's about it.

Any concerns about the pricing have melted away with this incredible discount, too. Of course, it may just be that Best Buy wants to clear stock ahead of the LG C6's arrival but that's just fine for you and me. As long as you're not concerned about getting the latest and greatest, I'd recommend taking the discount.

Me personally? I'm looking forward to a summer of sport this year with the Masters golf, Wimbledon tennis and, of course, the World Cup, all taking place in the next few months.
