I just found the best iPhone 17 Pro deal — and it doesn't require a trade-in

The iPhone 17 Pro is one of the best phones I've ever owned. Sure, it commands a hefty price tag, but there are dozens of iPhone 17 deals that make owning Apple's premium phone cheaper than ever.

For example, right now you can get the iPhone 17 Pro for free at Verizon with select unlimited data plans. That's one of the best cell phone deals I've seen so far this year.

Verizon is offering a free iPhone 17 Pro when you open a new line with select unlimited plans. The iPhone 17 Pro features a 6.3-inch OLED 120Hz display (2622 x 1206), A19 Pro chipset, and 256GB of storage. You also get a 48MP main, 48MP ultrawide, and 48MP w/ 4x zoom telephoto lens. The front camera is 18MP. In our iPhone 17 Pro review we said its its upgraded 48MP telephoto camera, 18MP Center Stage front camera, and vapor cooling chambers are significant changes to reaffirm its status as Apple's premium phone.

What's so cool about the iPhone 17 Pro? Well, for starters it's our favorite of Apple's current flagships. The current model also offers the biggest shake-up to the iPhone line in years. Like the larger iPhone 17 Pro Max, it offers triple rear cameras (including one with an impressive 8x optical zoom), Apple's most powerful new silicon, and a slew of new upgrades.

The new A19 Pro chip delivers even greater power to run your apps and games, and Apple's incorporated a new vapor chamber cooling system to keep the components from running too hot, allowing for more consistent perfomance. iOS 26 also debuts a sleek new Liquid Glass design, and for power users, Apple has added its biggest iPhone battery to date.

In our iPhone 17 Pro review we called it a stellar flagship with a gorgeous redesign that makes it an instant classic. Will there be more iPhone 17 Pro deals in the future? Absolutely. But I'm especially fond of this deal as it doesn't require a trade-in.
