This $15 item solved my cabinet clutter — and it's a game-changer for small kitchens

The kitchen is the heart of the home, but if you have a small space this can often become a storage nightmare. This is especially the case if you have an abundance of appliances and gadgets taking over.

If there’s one area I struggle to keep organized, it’s my packed kitchen cabinets. From various sized dinner plates and tableware, to plastic containers (and abundance of random lids), these were overflowing to capacity and becoming an eyesore.

What are shelf risers?

Essentially, shelf risers are a simple way to organize items vertically. These are especially ideal when dealing with cluttered kitchen or bathroom cabinets.

Plus, these sturdy racks allow you to stack items on top of each other, without the risk of anything collapsing or breaking.

How I organized my cabinets

Storing my excess bowls has always been an issue, but after using a shelf riser to neatly stack them, it instantly gave me more space. I no longer had to rummage through a stack of bowls to grab my favorite. Now these savvy organizers made my tableware tidy, and life easier.

What's more, you could use these versatile organizers to store pretty much anything in the home. From jars, tins or other foodstuffs to keeping home office essentials neat, shelf risers are super convenient. Just make sure you declutter your kitchen cabinets first, so you don't have unnecessary items.

And if you have awkward space, you can get extendable and stackable ones to suit your cabinet style. In fact, shelf risers are the perfect tool for compact kitchens — and I'll me adding more to my collection.
