I'm getting married this summer, which means I'm about to drop some serious cash on a big white dress and a three-course meal for all my nearest and dearest. But while weddings can be expensive, they're also an amazing opportunity for your friends and family to treat you, which is where a wedding registry comes into play.

My parents still use the cast iron cookware and flatware they were given on their wedding day, and if you choose the right items, you could be using the gifts you receive on your wedding day for the rest of your life! This makes choosing all the right products all the more important, and fortunately, as a nearlywed Homes Editor, I've had the chance to test some of the most popular wedding registry items to the test in my own kitchen.
