When it comes to household tasks, ironing has always been my most dreaded chore. But while the task itself is simple enough, the real struggle was wrestling my large and bulky ironing board in and out of my packed (and tiny) cupboard.

That was until I came across this simple solution that has transformed my ironing chores forever. IKEA’s JALL tabletop ironing board is a compact board that conveniently sits on my table, dresser, or any flat surface.

What’s more, it’s a space-saving dream and can even hang up behind a door or inside a closet. It’s also a win if you don’t have a large laundry room or simply want to stash it in the car and travel with it.

Perhaps the most appealing is its budget-friendly price, and at just $9, it’s a steal. Here’s why I've fully converted to IKEA’s mini board.

This handy mini board is ideal for small spaces or storage. Measuring at just 28 x 12 x 5, it comes with foldable legs that can sit on any table or surface. Perfect for limited storage, you can easily fit it inside a small closet, or it can be hung.

Why I love my mini ironing board

IKEA’s handy, compact board has made my ironing tasks so much easier. I no longer dread getting out my cumbersome ironing board and having it take up space in my tiny kitchen.

In fact, it’s so small and convenient that I can pretty much use it anywhere — from my dining table to my bedroom dressing table. I also love the fact that it’s lightweight yet durable — so no fear of it collapsing under the weight of heavy garments. Although I would only recommend this for small-medium sized items, and leave your larger items such as bed linen for the full ironing board.

Nevertheless, it’s a small space dream, which is even better if you lack storage. I can now easily fit inside my utility cupboard or hang it inside my closet, which is a constant reminder that I have a pile of laundry waiting to be ironed In fact, my full-sized one has officially retired.

So if you want to downsize your ironing board or simply have one at hand for those quick jobs, this is a great investment.
