Sterlin Harjo, acclaimed for his indigenous comedy “Reservation Dogs,” reunites with Ethan Hawke (who made a cameo in the show’s final season) for this Tulsa-set noir. Hawke stars as Lee Raybon, a self-proclaimed “truthstorian” whose obsession with exposing corruption drags him into danger.
From his cozy rare bookstore, Lee juggles unraveling Tulsa’s hidden rot with raising his curious daughter, while managing the exasperation of his former partner, Samantha. When a Washberg family exposé coincides with a suspicious suicide, Lee follows a trail of secrets and lies to find the truth.
Episodes 1-2 premiere Tuesday, Sept. 23 at 9 p.m. ET on FX (via Sling, Fubo or YouTube TV) and next day on Hulu
‘Slow Horses’ season 5 (Apple TV Plus)
The misfit spies of Slough House are back in action in all their bumbling glory. This time, the chaos starts when cocky techie Roddy Ho (Christopher Chung) turns up with a too-good-to-be-true girlfriend. When a string of odd attacks rattles London, Lamb (Gary Oldman) and his ragtag team realize the two might be connected.
Adapted from Mick Herron’s “London Rules,” the new season of the Emmy-winning series flaunts its usual blend of sharp dialogue, dry humor and classic espionage twists, proving once again that even MI5’s rejects can save the day.

‘Marvel Zombies’ (Disney Plus)
The Avengers are dead. The world is overrun. And the heroes you thought you could trust are now … zombies. This four-episode miniseries is Marvel’s first foray into TV-MA adult animation and is equal parts gore and dark humor. It’s Marvel like you’ve never seen before.
A small group of survivors races through a ruined world, dodging superpowered undead at every turn. Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Florence Pugh, Simu Liu, Tessa Thompson and more return to voice their MCU characters, while Todd Williams joins as Blade.
All 4 episodes premiere Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 3 a.m. ET on Disney Plus
‘Alice in Borderland’ season 3 (Netflix)
The Japanese sci-fi thriller picks up three years after the events of season 2, with Arisu and Usagi living in peace. But it’s shattered when Usagi vanishes without a trace, plunging Arisu back into the perilous Borderland.
The stakes are higher than ever with new players, new games and a mysterious Joker stage that promises even more inventive, life-or-death challenges. Separated and forced to join different teams, Arisu and Usagi must navigate flaming-arrow shrines, dice-driven traps and a host of ruthless competitors while confronting past traumas.
All 6 episodes premiere Thursday, Sept. 25 at 3 a.m. ET on Netflix
‘House of Guinness' (Netflix)
Raise a glass to the latest historical drama from “Peaky Blinders” creator Steven Knight. Set in 1860s Dublin and New York, the series dives into the power struggles, scandals and ambitions of the Guinness family after the death of brewery patriarch Sir Benjamin Guinness.
His four adult children — Arthur (Anthony Boyle), Edward (Louis Partridge), Anne (Emily Fairn), and Ben (Fionn O’Shea) — are tasked with preserving and expanding the legendary empire, but tensions and tempers run high as their fortunes hang in the balance. Expect an intoxicating brew of period detail and fierce drama as they fight to keep the Guinness legacy alive.

‘Wayward’ (Netflix)
Canadian Mae Martin may not be a household name, but they’re making a bold leap from comedy to thrillers. Martin created and stars in this miniseries as rookie cop Alex Dempsey, who, with pregnant wife Laura (Sarah Gadon), moves to the seemingly serene town of Tall Pines, only to uncover disturbing secrets at the local academy for troubled teens.
Led by the enigmatic Evelyn Wade (Toni Collette), the school hides more than it lets on, and students Abbie (Sydney Topliffe) and Leila (Alyvia Alyn Lind) may be the only ones who can expose the truth.
All 8 episodes premiere Thursday, Sept. 25 at 3 a.m. ET on Netflix
‘English Teacher’ season 2 (FX)
It’s a new year at Morrison Hensley High, and Evan Marquez (Brian Jordan Alvarez) is back, stirring up more trouble. Season 2 tackles climate change, COVID, military recruitment and student phone addiction with Evan’s trademark comedic bite. His relentless righteousness clashes with staff, students, and his love life, especially with Malcolm (Jordan Firstman) still lingering in the background.
Fans will be glad to see Gwen (Stephanie Koenig), Markie (Sean Patton), Rick (Carmen Christopher), and Principal Grant Moretti (Enrico Colantoni) navigating the insanity that is American public education. The series returns amid past sexual assault allegations against Alvarez, which FX has reviewed but declined to comment on further.
Episodes 1-3 premiere Tuesday, Sept. 23 at 9 p.m. ET on FX (via Sling, Fubo or YouTube TV) and next day on Hulu
‘The Savant’ (Apple TV Plus)
Jessica Chastain is a mom by day, domestic-terror hunter by night in this crime thriller series based on Andrea Stanley’s 2019 Cosmopolitan story. It follows Chastain’s undercover investigator as she embeds herself in online hate groups, trying to stop extremists before they act. The job is dangerous, the stakes are high and her family is never far from the fallout.
Nnamdi Asomugha, Cole Doman, Jordana Spiro, Trinity Lee Shirley, and Pablo Schreiber round out a cast that makes this tense, gripping drama impossible to look away from.
Episodes 1-2 premiere Friday, Sept. 26 at 12 a.m. ET on Apple TV Plus
