What is Spain's best performance at the FIFA World Cup?

Spain won the FIFA World Cup in 2010, beating the Netherlands in the final 1-0 with a goal in extra time from Andrés Iniesta. It was the brilliant "tiki-taka" team that won three straight major tournaments and featured the likes of Iker Casillas, Carles Puyol, Xavi, David Villa and Fernando Torres.

It was the first and only time that Spain have made the World Cup final and, since lifting the trophy, they have been unable to progress past the Round of 16 in the subsequent three editions.
