Whenever I’m looking for something to watch on Prime Video, the streaming service’s top 10 most-watched movies list is always my starting point. However, if I’ve learned one thing from tracking the top 10 daily, it’s that just because a movie finds its way into the list doesn’t mean it’s automatically worth watching.

Plenty of subpar flicks have managed to claim a spot. That’s why I’ve combed through the current Prime Video top 10 to separate the must-watch movies from the ones better left unwatched. This roundup is based on the Prime Video top 10 as of Monday, October 27. Now let’s dive into the three movies in the Prime Video most-watched list you should watch this week.

‘Wicked’ (2024)

“Wicked: For Good” flies into theatres in less than a month, so it’s no surprise to see the original musical smash hit return to the Prime Video most-watched list. “Wicked” adapts the first half of the long-running Broadway production that tells the previously untold story of the witches of Oz. It took a long time for “Wicked” to transition from the stage to the screen, but the final result was a real crowd-pleaser with an iconic book of tunes and strong performances from its two leads, Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande.

Set years before Dorothy arrived in the colorful fantasy land, “Wicked” is a prequel to 1939’s “The Wizard of Oz,” and it’s pure cinema magic. It explores the early years of the Wicked Witch of the West (Cynthia Erivo) and Glinda the Good (Ariana Grande), chronicling how they became friends at school before being torn apart after an encounter with the Wizard.

‘Scooby-Doo’ (2002)

Watch On

Despite poor reviews upon release, 2002’s “Scooby-Doo” has enjoyed a reevaluation in recent years and has since secured cult status among nostalgic millennials. Written by current DC Universe steward James Gunn, this live-action Scooby adventure is a loving celebration of the series' trademark formula, leaning into the usual tropes while also poking fun at them. It’s particularly well cast. Matthew Lillard is an inspired choice for Shaggy, and Freddie Prinze Jr. as Fred, Sarah Michelle Gellar as Daphne and Linda Cardellini as Velma are also perfectly suited for their roles.

After an acrimonious parting of the ways two years prior, the Mystery Inc. team is reunited when they’re summoned to the aptly named Spooky Island to investigate a string of supernatural encounters that could see the tourist spot closed down for good. Once on the scene, and forced to work together again, the foursome and their trusty pooch, Scooby-Doo, are drawn into a deeper mystery.

‘No Time to Die’ (2021)

Watch On

“No Time to Die” marked Daniel Craig’s swansong as legendary spy James Bond, and while it wasn’t quite the perfect send-off for one of the best incarnations of the character to date, it’s still a blockbuster globe-trotting thriller with all the hallmarks of Craig’s time as Bond. The introduction sequence is particularly spectacular. Of course, this does mean that the rest of the movie struggles to match up, but Bond fans, or just thrill seekers, shouldn’t skip it.

After the pulse-pounding introduction, Bond has retired from active duty and is living off the grid in Jamaica. But there's little time to rest, as the suave spy is drawn back into a dangerous world of espionage when his old friend Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright) asks for his help in extracting a kidnapped scientist, taken by the sinister Spectre. This mission puts Bond on a collision course with one of his most dangerous foes yet (played by Rami Malek).
