The Prime Video top 10 movies list is usually a great place to start when you're between watches. If you don't want to spend hours scrolling through Prime Video's many genres and categories, this most-watched chart offers a quick glimpse at what your fellow Prime subscribers are currently watching.

The problem is, you can't always guarantee that what's trending is necessarily going to be worth watching. As a streaming writer, I keep a close eye on what's risen through the ranks across all the best streaming services, including Prime Video.

This way, I can pull out some genuinely entertaining recommendations so you don't waste your precious (and limited!) viewing time on a dud watch.

Below, you can find the three movies I'd most recommend streaming that are currently in the Prime Video top 10 list (as of Friday, August 29, 2025).

'Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes' (2024)

If you're looking for an epic sci-fi adventure with serious heart, then Wes Ball's "Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes" is the movie for you.

This latest chapter in the "Apes" saga picks up generations after Caesar's (Andy Serkis) passing and takes us to an Earth where Apes have splintered into various clans, living harmoniously as the planet's dominant species.

When a tyrannical new ape starts building his own empire, and his forces attack his home, one young chimpanzee, Noa (Owen Teague), embarks on a dangerous journey to track down his tribe, accompanied by a young human (Freya Allan) that he meets en route, who is searching for the key to humanity's survival.

'Transformers' (2007)

While the live-action "Transformers" flicks really started to lose their way, and Michael Bay's 2007 action sci-fi effort has its problems, it remains a thrilling watch and boasts incredible robotic transformations that still hold up.

The movie sees the ancient struggle between the heroic Autobots and villainous Decepticons causing havoc on modern-day planet Earth. Both sides are searching for the Allspark, a key source of power.

After discovering his new Camaro is actually Bumblebee in disguise, teenager Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) finds himself caught up in the conflict.... and just might hold the key to finding that source of power.

'Wicked' (2024)

What is there to say about "Wicked" at this point? John Chu's musical extravaganza was one of the biggest movies of 2024, and rightly so. It was a joyful reinterpretation of the Broadway classic that brilliantly translated the magic of the hit show to the big screen, thanks in no small part to the note-perfect casting of Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande as Elphaba and Glinda, respectively.

If you're not familiar with this particular tale, "Wicked" tells the untold story of the witches of Oz. Set before Dorothy arrived in Oz, we see the early part of the two witches' complex relationship playing out at Oz's Shiz University.

And with "Wicked: For Good" bringing the rest of this musical megahit to the big screen this November, now's the perfect time to get caught up (or rewatch it for the tenth time).
