"Outer Banks" fans, listen up: Prime Video just dropped a trailer for a new series from "OBX" series co-creator Jonas Pate — and it's streaming soon.
This new YA music drama called "The Runarounds" is an eight-episode series that's inspired by (and stars) the real band of the same name.
If you're looking for more drama while you wait for "Outer Banks" season 5, it could be your next must-watch show.
The series revolves around a group of high school graduates from Wilmington, North Carolina, who form a band the summer after graduation, dreaming of getting their big break.
As you can see above, that journey's anything but easy. It looks to be dominated by all the ups and downs of teen life: friendship, relationships, and what looks like plenty of drama, perfect for coming-of-age story fans.
The trailer also features The Runarounds' original song "Funny How The Universe Works," as performed by the band themselves.
Keen to see what's in store? You don't have long to wait: "The Runarounds" starts streaming exclusively on Prime Video on September 1. All eight episodes will be available at launch.

What else do we know about 'The Runarounds' on Prime Video?
If you want to know a little more about what's in store, Prime Video has already released a full series synopsis for "The Runarounds."
It reads: "The Runarounds follows a group of recent high school graduates from Wilmington, North Carolina, who come together the summer after graduation to form a rock band, united by their shared love of music and near-impossible dream of stardom.
"Over the course of one unforgettable summer, they throw themselves into the pursuit of their big break—falling in love, getting into trouble, and building the kind of bonds that feel like family along the way. With original music, romantic entanglements, and the raw highs and lows of coming-of-age, The Runarounds captures the rush of risking everything at the edge of adulthood to chase your dreams."
"The Runarounds" cast includes real-life musicians William Lipton, Axel Ellis, Jeremy Yun, Zendé Murdock, and Jesse Golliher, plus Lilah Pate, Maximo Salas, Kelley Pereira, Marley Aliah, Mark Wystrach, Brooklyn Decker, Hayes MacArthur, and Shea Pritchard.
And if you like "The Runarounds" sound, you'll be pleased to know that, per a Prime Video press release, Arista Records will be dropping the full soundtrack when the series premieres in September.
