February always feels short, but with Valentine’s Day landing this weekend, it’s suddenly moving at lightning speed. Whether you’re planning a cozy night in with your partner or gathering friends for a movie marathon, lining up the right flicks can make all the difference. With winter weather still encouraging nights on the sofa, there’s no better excuse to turn your living room into your own private screening room.
Thankfully, Prime Video isn’t short on fresh options. The streamer has rolled out a wave of new movies this month, including a brand-new romantic Prime Video original that’s perfectly timed for Valentine’s weekend. But with so many titles competing for your attention, narrowing down what’s actually worth streaming can be tricky. To help you plan the ultimate movie night, we’ve rounded up a selection of new Prime Video films that deserve a spot on your weekend watchlist.
‘Love Me Love Me’ (2026)
Prime Video’s latest original movie arrives just in time for Valentine’s Day. “Love Me Love Me” is adapted from an internationally popular Wattpad novel by Stefania S, which has racked up millions of reads online, making it one of the streamer’s biggest YA adaptations of the year. This romantic drama leans into a classic love triangle, slow-burn tension, and all the aching yearning fans of the genre have come to expect. If you’re looking for something swoon-worthy to stream with your partner, friends, or even solo this weekend, this one should be on your watchlist.
“Love Me Love Me” follows June (Mia Jenkins), a young woman who moves to Milan and enrolls at an elite international school. As she settles into her new life, she begins a relationship with Will (Luca Melucci), the model student known for his calm and composed nature. But things soon change when James (Pepe Barroso), Will’s charismatic and troubled best friend, involved in underground MMA fights, enters the picture and shifts the dynamics around her. Faced with competing influences, June endures her complicated circumstances while discovering more about the people around her and her place in this unfamiliar world.

‘The Woman King’ (2022)
Anyone seeking something a little more intense and action-driven will want to stream the historical drama “The Woman King.” Inspired by real history (but it’s not a strictly factual retelling of events), the movie takes place in the Kingdom of Dahomey and centers on the elite all-female warrior corps known as the Agojie, both of which were real historical elements in what is now Benin in West Africa. Beyond its exciting action sequences and strong performances from a predominantly female cast, the drama is moving, uplifting, and deeply engaging thanks to its compelling characters.
“The Woman King” follows General Nanisca (Viola Davis), the experienced leader of the all-female Agojie warriors of the West African Kingdom of Dahomey in the 1820s. As threats loom, Nanisca trains a new recruit, Nawi (Thuso Mbedu), who soon joins seasoned warriors like Izogie (Lashana Lynch) and Amenza (Sheila Atim). King Ghezo (John Boyega) presides over the kingdom during a time of upheaval, and as enemies approach, the Agojie must face invading forces while managing rivalries and disagreements within their own ranks.

‘Next Goal Wins’ (2023)
Sometimes, all you need is a feel-good movie for Valentine’s, and “Next Goal Wins” could be the perfect pick when it starts streaming this weekend. The sports drama delivers plenty of laughs and genuinely warm moments, and while it doesn’t reinvent the inspirational sports movie formula, its charm is hard to resist. Directed and co-written by Taika Waititi, this movie is based on the 2014 documentary of the same name and stars Michael Fassbender as Dutch-American coach Thomas Rongen, who arrives to help a struggling American Samoa football team find their footing.
“Next Goal Wins” tells the real-life story of the American Samoa squad, long considered one of the weakest in the world after a historic 31–0 loss to Australia. With the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers approaching, Rongen works to improve the players’ skills and cohesion. Alongside him are Tavita (Oscar Kightley), the team manager; Nicky Salapu (Uli Latukefu), the disheartened goalkeeper; Jaiyah Saelua (Kaimana), a standout defender; and other players like Daru (Beulah Koale). As Rongen faces cultural and personal doubts, the team slowly begins striving for a breakthrough result.
