Meta's annual product showcase, Meta Connect 2025, is only two days away, but a now-removed unlisted video on YouTube may have shown off at least one device that we'll see on September 17.
The video looks to be an ad that showcases at least four different smart glasses: a couple of oldies and at least two new devices.
- Updated Ray-Ban Meta glasses
- Oakley Meta HSTN glasses
- The rumored Oakley Meta Sphaera glasses
- Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses with a display in one lenses
- The sEMG wristband
The most interesting device are the Display glasses, which aren't true AR specs like the Meta Orion glasses, but should have a heads-up display that will be in one of the lenses. This HUD would show Meta AI and notifications, and could potentially be paired with a wristband for finger-swipe controls.
The video was removed from YouTube, but not before regular AR and VR leaker SadlyitsBradley copied it and shared in an X post.

In the video, a small display appears to be on the right lens, and shows things such as navigation and recipe instructions. Another part of the video shows someone using their finger to type on a virtual keyboard, which would seem to confirm that the glasses will use surface electromyography (sEMG) technology to translate hand movements into device controls.
It's possible that this could be the rumored Meta Hypernova specs that are supposed to debut at Meta Connect. In mid-August, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reported that the Hypernova glasses will cost around $800.
The video shows at least four different designs for the glasses; the first have a more traditional Ray-Ban look, while the second pair have a wrap-around design, and appear to be geared more towards active lifestyle use. Also pictured are what look like the Oakley HSTN Meta glasses.
According to the video, the glasses will be branded as Ray-Bans. At one point, The Information reported that EssilorLuxottica, owner of Ray-Ban and Oakley, didn't like the thickness of the glasses.
According to that earlier report, the new glasses will weigh 70 grams, 20 more than the current Ray-Bans.
Meta did take a 3% stake in EssilorLuxottica earlier this year, so it may have a stronger say in the products that get Ray-Ban branding. Either way, the known glasses name should entice more people to try out the Display glasses over just the Meta brand. Plus, it means the specs should be available to see in Ray-Ban stores globally.
