If you've been having problems using just about any service on the internet this morning, then you're not alone. Amazon suffered a serious outage earlier today, and that caused a bunch of issues with Amazon Web Services — the part of the company involved in web hosting and cloud computing.

In other words, this meant a bunch of your favorite websites and apps were broken until a fix could be rolled out. We saw major disruption to Snapchat and Strava among others.

The AWS status page has promised the problem has been identified, and a fix is rolling out. We've seen that in action thanks to various affected sites and services coming back online. Of course, rollouts are not instant fixes for everything, and you may still suffer issues throughout the day.

But which apps and services have been affected by the big AWS outage? Here's a full list, based on our first hand experience and issues reported over at DownDetector.

  • Amazon (including Alexa and Prime Video)
  • Apple Music
  • Blink
  • Chime
  • Coinbase
  • Delta
  • Duolingo
  • Epic Games Store
  • Fanduel
  • Fortnite
  • HBO Max
  • Hinge
  • Life 360
  • Lyft
  • McDonalds app
  • Microsoft Teams
  • My Fitness Pal
  • Office 365
  • PlayStation Network
  • Pokemon Go
  • Reddit
  • Ring
  • Roblox
  • Roku
  • Signal
  • Slack
  • Snapchat
  • Square
  • Starbucks
  • Steam
  • Strava
  • Ubisoft Connect
  • Venmo
  • VR Chat
  • Wordle
  • Xbox
  • Xero
  • Zoom

Some of those services do stand out because they don't seem like the type of products that would rely on Amazon's infrastructure. Microsoft has its own cloud computing and hosting with Azure, which I would have guessed makes things like Teams and Xbox immune from AWS issues. But apparently that isn't the case. The internet is a complex place, and one hosting provider going down can have that ripple effect.

For now, it seems like we're on the right side of this, but just remember that all these services may not be operating at full steam just yet. Like Reddit and Ring, which still seem to be having issues.

We've reached out to Amazon to ask why the outage happened and what has been done to make sure it doesn't happen again. We'll update this story when we hear back
