It's not every day that you get to write about a deal as good as this — it brings the price of some of the most premium ANC headphones to the price of less luxurious rivals. Because who wants something made out of plastic and synthetic leather when you can get something that feels like it belongs in the back of a Rolls-Royce for the same price?
The Bowers & Wilkins PX8 are just $459 at Amazon right now thanks to a truly spectacular $240 discount. That makes them the same price as the Sony WH-1000XM6 and the Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones gen 2 — and I know which I would rather spend my money on.
Smothered in leather and made out of metal, the PX8 are a gorgeous pair of ANC headphones. Their sound is heavenly, their ANC is plenty good enough, and their 30 hours of battery enough to get you through a few days' work. This monster deal makes them cheaper than ever, and crucially, less than the AirPods Max.
The deal in the UK isn't quite as strong, but you still save a bundle on some lovely headphones. This is on all the normal colorways — you still have to pay extra for the special McLaren edition.
Thanks to some of the most impressive materials around, the PX8 feel like something special. Their metal earcups and slick, steel armatures add weight and heft to the headphones. The sumptuous calfskin leather that smothers the earcups and the headband, the ample padding that makes their not insignificant weight melt away.
They're a super premium piece of portable audio gear, and usually they have a super premium price to match. But right now, thanks to this deal, you can get some very nice headphones for a stellar price. It is only the Royal Burgundy colorway, so you're stuck for color, but at this price, who cares?
30 hours of battery life will keep you buzzing along no problem, the sound is epic, warm and wide and the ANC will keep out the noise of anything happening around you. They're some of my favorite-ever headphones (I use their sequel every day), and an opportunity to get a pair this cheap doesn't come around often at all.
The best bit? The case. It's a protective case, with plenty of space for all your cables. Hear that, Apple? A premium protective case. Rolls off the tongue well.
