There are loads of headphones to consider if you're looking for something new to slide over your ears, but there are few as fully featured as the Sony WH-1000XM6. They're the poster child for wireless headphones, representing the culmination of six iterations of the X mark family.

They also tend to come at a pretty high asking price — although you can currently save a whopping $60 at Amazon. That brings them back down to their lowest ever price for the first time in 2026.

Sony's flagship headphones are a noise-cancelling hero. They're a handsome pair of great-sounding headphones, packing in more features than just about anything else you can buy. The WH-1000XM6 have 30 hours of battery life, a folding design to make them more compact, and excellent noise canceling to keep the outside world at bay.

The WH-1000XM6 might not be our top pick for the best headphones this year, but they're jam-packed with excellent features. They've got one of the strongest EQs in the category, with 10 bands of adjustment, so you can really dial in the sound to your preferences.

The ANC is super adjustable and extremely effective. You can even set different levels for different environments, using your phone's GPS and other features. It's all very clever, and more fully-featured than the Bose-flavored competition.

Sound is, as you might expect from Sony, very good. As has become well known with the XM family of headphones, you've got plenty of bass here, but there's an attention to vocals and voices that's uncommon for wireless ANC headphones. The soundstage has taken a slight hit as a result, making them more intimate than open and wide. Still, most people are going to wear them and think, "yeah, these sound epic."

30 hours of battery life is fine, easily enough to get you to the airport from a hotel and through your long-haul business flight. They fold up nice and small, too, into a compact protective case that's easier to fit into your carry-on luggage. You also get the requisite flight adapters and cables so that you can use them without a Bluetooth connection or to watch in-flight entertainment.

This is their lowest price, and we have seen it a couple of times before. It's a saving that pops its head up every few months, ready to help you save on a new pair of headphones. This is one such time — don't miss out this time around!
