With the EZ-Mini-USB, Apricorn has a major success. In the test, the light and very portable external memory solution was completely convincing with very good performance and a well thought-out software packet. In a direct comparison with a self-built, external memory solution made out of a 2.5" hard disk and a high-quality external casing with a USB interface, the light 3.8 oz/107 g mass storage device faired extremely well. Thanks to the USB interface, the device is also suitable for use with a Macintosh.
The 20 gigabyte model is available for $200, and Apricorn adds another 100 dollars for double the capacity. This is not too much in our opinion. The only comparable product available on the market is from the competitor Archos. The Mini Disk2.0, which costs a steep 180 dollars, comes without a software packet. The included tool for on-the-fly data encryption, Cryptainer LE, makes the product also interesting for business users.
If you think that it is cheaper to use a USB FlashDrive, you are wrong. Here, the price for the 1 GB stick is $150 to $200 dollars.
Taking everything into consideration, the EZ-Mini-USB is a very successful and recommendable product that shouldn't be missing from any shirt or notebook pocket.
Apricorn has honestly earned the must-have award for this product.

SecondCopy is a nice tool, and easy to use. I recently switched to a different tool you may want to look at, FileSync, from Tresante Software (http://www.tresante.com). Very easy to use, I may keep this instead of SecondCopy.
Thanks for your information. I lost all my data due to sudden power cut in my house. I didn't have data back up then.
