12. Conclusions and Recommendations
Overall, we were pleased with the DrayTek 2930n’s setup and performance – it delivers as promised, and promises a lot. In our month of testing and use, we encountered no substantial problems with the device or its configuration. We also observed that the 2930n is easy to set up and use across a wide range of tasks. You don’t need a network engineer to backstop your progress through the configuration wizard or its many menus. When using the device, we also noted it generated negligible amounts of heat – even under heavy load, the 2930n was never more than warm to the touch.
In the several years DrayTek has been active in the United States, it has yet to achieve serious name recognition. Nevertheless, you’ll find lots of resellers for this product –as long as you don’t mind overseas shipping. Only four companies are listed under Draytek’s Where to Buy links in the United States. The wireless 2930n retails for just under $400 (DSL-Warehouse.com or BuyVoipRouters.com).
The unit justifies its price based on features and performance. For a small, connected business with big networking needs, the DrayTek 2930n is a good bet. But even for the most serious of small office/home office/home enthusiast networks, however, it’s too costly. However, the 2820, with a single WAN port and reduced VPN chops, is otherwise identical to the 2930n, and at $280-285, it might be a better choice.

Where's table 2?
What file transfer speeds are achieved?
the Vigor 2820 achieves only half of the 2930's throughput - I think this should be stressed in the final comment!!!
